Singleton will be a really nice portal add in two years. Braxton Key-esque.
Basically Singleton had settled on Northwestern among the schools he had already visited, leaving UVA as the last obstacle. Itās not so much that we were the runner up, as the last other team considered.
Agree. Weāre worrying over whether CTB manages to use his 13th scholarship. The team is plenty deep already.
With the huge '24 class, its ok for the '25 class to be smaller. Also, having a smaller '25 class should make things easier in recruiting the '26s which will be more important for spreading things out anyway. Its unfortunate that weāre behind in '26 recruiting, but thereās plenty of time to make it up. However, if '26 ends up also being a small class as well, then itās going to be a problem weāll need to fix with transfers (which isnāt ideal).
Waking up to see multiple crystal balls for Ward and MSU.
And Fresh called it first way back
Tom Izzo will continue to do the very least with the best talent.
Definitely is one of those coaches who consistently has a bevvy of talent, but kind of skates by scrutiny because heās made runs in a bunch of tournaments. Especially in last 10-15 years.
But, like, why arenāt the teams more consistently better?
Does not getting commitments from Singleton or Ward, combined with Duke getting the Boozers mean that we will a) continue to pursue and maybe even ramp up pursuit of Ament, and b) have a realistic chance to get him?
Define realistic
Boozers committing to Duke was like the first mini boss in a ten or so stage game where the last boss like throws flaming axes and we havenāt yet found the cloak of protection.
And in this case beating the ultimate boss just means ārealistic shot at Amentā not āwe get Ament.ā
But the good news is: we beat the miniboss!
Iāve gained so much respect for you haney in just one post.
I will say that if you laid out the case for us ending up with Ament a couple of months ago, everything has basically followed that so far. Still wonāt happen but good start.
Oh, totally. Haneyās not giving us any credit at all for having made it to the Booze minion-boss. There was a whole process just to get here!
And I am disturbed by what I presume to be his computer game references!
Exactly. Given the laws of physics, is it theoretically possible a five star in-state recruit with blue blood offers being pursued by Duke could commit to Virginia? Scientists theorize yes, it is possible.
Is it likely to happen before the heat death of the universe? Statisticians say probability wise, unlikely.
Iām going to ask the professor. Fresh are we getting Ament?
Proly yes
Donāt give us hope Fresh if itās just despair at the end of the road
