Good point. I think the reason we wanted Kaufman so much is he offered back-to-the basket skills that we don’t currently have. McKoy’s and Murphy’s skills are primarily perimeter oriented. It just gives us another scoring option that can compliment our spacing and perimeter game. With the perimeter threats we have and are adding, Kaufman’s skills would be pretty tough to defend. Houstan, on the other hand has a very strong perimeter game and so does McKoy. I don’t see either of them developing those skills or even being utilized as Kaufman would where their taking contact at the basket and scoring with strength. Posting up on smaller defenders and drawing bigger defenders to the perimeter. Kaufman also was fairly effective scoring / penetrating in traffic. Caffaro has some basic back-to-the-basket skills but is limited offensively and McKoy may be developing them.
Are we making too much of the radio station? Kaufman lives in a suburb of Louisville, just across the river on the Indiana side, which is where the radio station is as well, not all that close to Bloomington or West Lafayette. Most of the local listeners are probably Louisville fans.

It’s the student operated radio station for Jeffersonville High School. I assume it’s something the high school has for kids interested in a career in media.
