Didn’t say it on this board but I remember thinking we should just pack it in on that class once we got Traudt. What a disaster that would’ve been.
Oh so he’s on this board then…
To be fair, this was in response to @AnonymooseHoo’s constant Dunn hype, which I’m fairly sure was an elaborate joke at one point.
I was never joking about Long Island Michael Jordan
Hopefully Taine did the same. I haven’t given up on Taine yet. He’s solid so far. Dunn is INCREDIBLE!
This also shows how in tune TB is to find these under the radar guys.
I think someone mentioned that the Perkiomen team tried to feature guys who hadn’t gotten scholarship offers yet, so Dunn played a little less than expected since he was already set with us. And would also explain why their more featured players wouldn’t be performing as well in college as Dunn.
If you’re looking for a CPA auditor though, Will Regan could be your guy.
I also remember people saying that and I never really bought it. I think Baudinet tried to spread PT for that reason, but when it came to who was featured, there were other things going on. One of the biggies was that RDs contributions weren’t being well counted in a limited HS box score ( basically just points). And that kid Lee is a total bucket. What he’s doing at Princeton is legit impressive
I think Xaivian Lee faced some biases that Jeremy Lin and Daryl Morey have talked about.
It’s getting more and more crazy that dunn didn’t play 20 minutes per game last year. Tony definitely has some Dean Smith in him in that way.
We were the #1 defensive team in the nation when RD played last year, and this year only #2, so tbh, I’m disappointed (though maybe #1 in his minutes? too early to check on KenPom, so maybe…).
Underrated play – that one where he broke up the pass to Samuel at the end of the Fla game. Probably won us the game.
Hope this works – h/t @Cuts_from_The_Corner. 99.999% of other defenders in college hoops, and Samuel catches it and most likely scores, and we are looking at a 1 point deficit with 10 seconds to score. (Doug-E Fresh says “tough pass” but I thought it was nearly a great pass)
Someone else pointed this out, but Reece was the ACC DPOY last year, is having a better year statistically this year, and yet it is likely that he won’t be the best defender on his own team this year. That’s crazy.
He also wasn’t the best defender on his team last year.
I used to think I wanted to be a lawyer. Instead, I married one and quit my job to raise the kids. Livin’ the dream.
Oh boy … here we go again with another Kihei debate.
