We played well enough to beat them without Radford that night.
They didn’t have Radford against Houston either, who are the #1 turnover-forcing team in the country, and only turned it over on 18% of their possessions. We had a really good night against them defensively.
Sure but take away Rohde’s 13 points and add Radford’s 12 points and do we win?
Where do we get those points from?
I honestly don’t care. This is a pointless exercise
Taine Murray, c’mon Dave
Are we allowed to replace Rohde or just play with 4? And is A&M playing with 6 guys here?
Nice dish from Blake, too
Love when guys, especially RD and Bond, move and slash and make themselves available like this. Felt we were all over the floor stagnant and watching at ND
Exactly right. RD was back to himself. He was everywhere defensively, on the glass, and slashing to the rack. It was a masterful performance from him last night.
Believe the message was sent to get back to what makes you special…defensive energy and thunderous dunks to get the team and crowd fired up.
Keep it up RD. Well done young man.
Go HOOS! Beat NCState
Holidays are always weird times for games, weird crowd energy, lots of breaks, easy to get out of a rhythm and into a funk. I’m thinking both Dunn and iMac benefit from getting back into a regular semester schedule and routine this month.
I think Taine said something to this effect in the postgame comments; something like how they didn’t make any big changes to the offense since ND, they just tried to cut more off the ball. I think there was a concerted effort to get the ball into the post-extended area (they call it the playmaker spot) and look for cutters from there.
We are young a team that thrives of vibes. Dunn especially seems to thrive off energy stuff. Need to see him show out when the crowd is weak or hostile.
Get that JPJ usher in the traveling party
Great point on holiday schedule. Everything is changed around and even first years cant be in their dorm so stay ar the Cav Inn (our time) or wherever
Needs to take the away crowd noise and make it his catalyst. Flip the coin.
So I guess the first years are staying in the School of Data Science building that’s under construction where the Cav Inn was located? BTW, does anyone else get an Orwellian feeling when they hear that name?
Thing I’ve noticed over past 2 seasons with RD, he makes a very high percentage of 3s when he gets the ball late in the shot clock. His 3 against NCS was another such example. Leads me to believe that he is simply over-thinking things.
His form looks good. He will get his percentage up.
GO HOOS! Beat Wake.
Great observation @plegard happy sign up anniversary!
