I agree. He knows he’s the second best player on the team, I’m sure he feels like he has a lot of internal responsibility for winning.
Things you’d hope you never hear again for 200 please
“What is… Casey Morsell?”
No no…the hope is that Rohde is Casey sorta. So he’ll get adjusted and shoot like Casey did last year at State. But not this year Casey, that’s bad too.

Vecenie has Dunn going 20th in the latest Athletic mock draft
If they still want Dunn in first round … young man has to go and get the NBA bag. His shooting does not appear to be improving at UVA.
I think he will be better in the NBA game. Faster pace and longer game = more possessions = less valuing of each possession = no psychological restraints. Wouldn’t surprise at all if, even if he doesn’t improve his form, he starts hitting 3s in the NBA. No more overthinking and he can even be allowed to shoot not just catch and shoot threes which might be weird to him idk.
This mock draft has Dunn going to the Suns. If that plays out, he will not be asked to score.
Kyshawn George at #16 indirectly tells me something about Dunn’s draft prospects, even if they have different strengths. If you are a guy who fits into a valuable positional/role template, teams might be fine just filling in the blanks themselves in terms of projecting your future development. They don’t always have to see it happen first in college. And everyone wants wings.
Lots of teams in the back half of the 1st round will take a chance on a guy with an elite skill and hope the rest develops. Getting a good rotation player in that area of the draft is a huge win.
Any ESPN plusers wanna tell me where they have Dunn/Beekman?
No Reece. Dunn at 21 to Suns.
How closely does ESPN’s best player available section of their NBA Draftcast track their mocks? Is there a little bit of a lag before it updates?
I noticed they had Dillingham at 4th ahead of Sheppard at 12. The 2 mock drafts I’ve seen had Sheppard ahead of Dillingham
Rewatching the Syracuse game. We played 5 out most of that game. Dunn at the 4 on the wing.
He had one sequence in the 2H where he got the ball on the right wing and exploded by his man (#1 on Syracuse) and then hit a very nice one handed floater in the lane.
Those are the kinds of shots he can be creating if we can figure out spacing.
Sides got us out of our slump with minor setting good screens. But if Minor is not in the game, we should try 5 out and let Reece and RD (and Eli?) drive.
Oh, and while this isn’t an Eli thread, Eli had a nice game against Syracuse. Sweet FT stroke and terrific man D.
Go Hoos. Play free and with JOY. Have fun. Beat UNC.
I am trying to remember if there was a player at UVA that also played elsewhere that was better offensively at UVA than anywhere else he was? Can you remember anyone?
Trey Murphy
Gill
Are you serious? Have you not seen any of his games with the pelicans?
I thought the question was a player that was better at UVA than their previous school (transfer). Murphy better at UVa than Rice.
I must have read that comment wrong
