Do we need a new thread for dark mode vs light mode?

More importantly, should light mode users even be allowed to post?

Light mode people still have landlines

I just went to switch to Dark Mode and found that I have my text set as “Largest”.

Feeling like the biggest boomer right now.

Also UVA dark mode is why Tony hates orange. That’s terrible.

I use dark mode on a lot of things, but when I tried it on LRA, I just didn’t like it. Made everyone’s avatars look too different from what I was used to. Although maybe that doesn’t matter with people changing their avatar every few hours now

Once I went dark mode in LRA, I had to find another app to light my way across my dark bedroom when Her Ladyship is asleep.

Some clues at today’s press conference about why Ryan Odom was selected as our new Coach. He understands and values what UVA is about and what it represents. Knowledge of his family , his character, and his background made the selection committee very comfortable that he, his staff, and players would never embarrass the school. Proven record at last 2 schools shows he knows how to rebuild a team quickly using the portal and is comfortable with NIL. He probably made it clear during the interview process he believes in connecting the staff with former players and would keep Guy and Z.

He has a lot still to prove at this level as recruiter and x’s and o’s. But it didn’t appear that any viable options were available with P4 track record.

Just finished watching. Prepared remarks were stiff. What I liked was the Q&A. I thought he was much more confident, and I can see the energy and get a sense of how he motivates.

He is not a character, but I think he is clearly a good locker room guy if that makes sense.

Long day & I’m trying to catch up on a LOT I missed today. I had to wrack my brain to figure out what “novmar” is. Then I realized . . . Time to go to bed.

Real Work is destroying my normal clipping/writing schedule right now but, fortunately, it’s a long offseason and I won’t be doing the lessons learned pieces prior to this.

What do you mean by being willing to market the brand more than Bennett?

Bennett became synonymous with the brand.

Becoming the brand doesn’t mean you market it. I honestly believe Bennett would have been perfectly fine playing real games in a closed JPJ.

Bennett definitely built his own personal brand mainly from our on the court product, and yes it elevated us and him at the same time, but I do wish he did some of the little marketing things better in his time here. I want us to be more active on social media, be more accessible to the public, get creative with our uniform combos, stream the fuckin Blue-White scrimmage. They’re little details that contribute to hyping up the program more, Bennett didn’t need them to succeed but in an era where you’ve gotta do the best you can to try and sell the brand of your program little things like that do add up in the end. And players/fans/recruits take notice if you’re effective with it.
