Itâs easy to do. The rules are overly complex (faculty are like that too often) and really should be simplified so they are totally clear. I transferred twice as an undergraduate and always had to see someone to be sure I understood the rules because they often were obtuse.

Not bad at all to be honest. $10m is manageable if it gets bad, but keeps most suitors at bay if he way overperforms. I like it. Good job Carla.
Shocked we kept it that reasonable with Nova looming.
Edit: misunderstood the $1m buyout to VCU component.
The $1mm buyout is actually what UVA has agreed to pay VCU on Odomâs behalf. UVA would owe Odom the rest of his remaining 6 year contract money if they let him go early. Final year that drops to 60%. So, about $3.25mm per year left on his deal if let go.
Oh duh, that makes way more sense. Thatâs phrased a little confusingly. I still think itâs not too bad. I was expecting $4m+ with a fairly onerous buyout.
This is VERY cool.
I want to add two more things Iâm excited about with Odom that I havenât really seen discussedâŚ
First, less mention of god, less faith-as-currency on the recruiting trail, less thanking of god and mentioning Jesus in the press conferences and interviews. Just basketball and relationships.
Second, playing deep into the roster, with liberal rotations. I want to see and get to know our guys lower on the depth chart, even if they are just one year rentals.
Hey Griff this is a nice picture of you.
Nah screw that, letâs find the one I look the most psycho.
âAnd for the action pic that goes in the story, find one where I look real sweatyâ
Good. Now zoom in. Further. Further. Keep goingâŚ
Proly havent hired our AI guy yet either
Bless your heart

Russel Turner is headed to the NIT championship if anyone is still following the coaching search. Too bad Jazz shut down the threadâŚ
I read somewhere that his VCU contract had, as part of the buyout, a home-and-home series with the coachâs new team. I donât know how that would be enforced, other than counting on the departing coachâs sense of honor, but it would be a natural series and one that probably would have happened anyway.
Lawyers, I assume.
In his VCU contract, it gives a 3 year window after him leaving VCU to start the home and home (technically the window is for scheduling the VCU home game) but also allows the new school to buy them out of this agreement for $250k.
Itâs usually a few years later.
Texas and LSU came to Siegel. Penn State hasnât yet.
