I don’t know much about this guy, but his portal ranking is silly. The schools we were competing against for him don’t recruit players ranked in the high 300s. I would add that Buzz may have done us a favor, but I’ll take it.

The thing is: take these portal rankings as one interesting data point. Not the end all be all. If it shows you something that seems weird, dig deeper.
Noted. But that just shows Knecht’s portal ranking was also silly. I guess my point is that if other high major programs are competing for the same player, those teams’ coaches see something that the rankings dudes don’t.

What did you think about his game after watching tape?
I had kinda forgot about him - but versatile and crafty

I’m a big fan. His offensive game is somewhat akin to Brogdon’s. Strong with the ball in his hands, gets to his spots. I know we’re supposed to hate the midrange but he has a nice pull up jumper off of a separation dribble/move that’s very effective.
