Tony Bennett wanted to move away from the Tony Bennett era. If you’re looking for someone to blame for Odom being our Head Coach currently and Sanchez, Willy, etc not being here, look at Tony.

Maybe true but this particular case isn’t really a data point that supports that. New staff wouldn’t have had a whole lot to do with it anyway. Once Kyle was unavailable, numerous guys who were on the fence anyway dropped too (Kihei included). Like I said earlier, you could probably cobble together a handful of guys for this, but it wouldn’t have had the name rec of a KG led team.

Add to this that it likely would’ve been a big money loser for UVA and the tournament and there’s not a lot of appetite for taking that plunge. The whole thing was iffy to begin with and fizzled with Kyle’s departure.

I dont see how people dont get that TBs players, who we all love, are loyal to Tony, Ron, Jason and each other (and all the rest) more than they are to The University and all of us.

That for me is all you have to understand
