Next time you are in Virginia… you and I are running 10 miles non-stop. ![]()
Last weekend I refereed 6-games in a row in Charlottesville for a tournament due to a shortage of officials and when I checked my watch I had hit over a half marathon.

Guess who’s not getting a call next time I’m in Va. We can run the 10 miles only after you train with me at Primal Fitness in Cville.
The only Dumbell in my house is me.

I resent this totally inappropriate and/or grammatically vague comparison.
I am a pair of 32 kg kettlebells. Tough, reliable, versatile, more than @BDragon can handle, etc.
States in the Midwest are elliptical machines. Good for nothing. Nothing at all.
Nice try chief.

Major debate in the Dragon’s Lair this morning. Which is the appropriate chalk to use?
The Lair is not a democracy my brother. Dragon should ban fake chalks
Just re-entered the 400 kg club (105 bench, 118 squat, 180 deadlift) after a long hiatus from lifting. Not super impressive on its own but as a 40+ year-old with narrow shoulders and long femurs I’ll take it. Mulling if I want to make the push to 450 (pretty sure 500 is beyond my physical limits unless I get on the juice).
Just gotta start and stay with it. I got back to college strength in certain areas (upper body and core). My leggs are pretty embarassing but always were
Also. Hoo wins in a fight between a Dragon and a Gorilla?
Arby’s does… no question.
That’s awesome man congrats. That’s nothing to be ashamed of. I bet I could get you to that 500 KG mark. From the sounds of you long femurs narrow shoulders I’m guessing you’re a little tall, and have long levers that’s perfect for deadlifting and you have some room to grow there just need the right programing.
And @DFresh11 always bet on a Dragon
Pretty sure they end up teaming up to defeat Mechagodzilla.
The rower is an evil invention
Grinding through a rare Saturday evening session and an oldie but goodie hit my playlist
You talking about the erg rowing machine? If so, I couldn’t agree more.
Yup thats the one. I have a concept 2 rower i. The Lair. For the recent cycle i have intervals once a week to wrap up my session and it sucks
Yep, I have the same. It’s a humbling machine.
I know people who try it for a minute and say “this is easy”. After I tell them to try 10 minutes at 30 strokes a minute, they accuse me of trying to kill them.
I have one of those. Don’t mind the exercise, especially for shortish interval workouts, but it butchers my hands. Basically never use it anymore.
The rower sucks but nothings zaps me like the sled.
Oh, I feel that. I’m not big but I played football in high school and I loved pushing the sled. I have short legs and my lower body is weirdly strong so I was surprisingly good at it. In my 40s, I got back into lifting regularly with a trainer (it went away with Covid, sadly) and one day they brought out… basically a sled. It was sled-adjacent. And I was like “HELL YEA!” It was like seeing an old friend for the first time in ages. I went absolutely nuts with it for like 5 minutes as the trainer was like “Whoa, whoa, you’re older than you think.”
Then I spent the rest of the session in the bathroom puking my guts out and it never came out again.
