The Elliott Era begins

At the B/W scrimmage. Hard to tell much but receiver’s hands a little underwhelming so far.

Some rust aside, passing game and rushing D looking fine so far, passing D and rushing O looking shakier.

Everything on offense seems underwhelming

Armstrong hasn’t run once in 4-5 series.

Yeah, not looking impressive anywhere so far. But it’s a scrimmage, we’ll see.

IMO the most interesting takeaway is Fields is ahead of Lavel on the depth chart. Not going to be able to tell much of anything else with the oline so short on bodies.

Lots of errant and dropped passes. Maybe players just adjusting to the new routes? Very underwhelming offensively.

Defensively a breathe of fresh air lining up 4 on the line. Cant take away too much cause of how bad the receivers have been but also how thin the oline is in generating pressure.

Tony Elliot does bring a lot more noticeable energy in his interviews though. I will miss the Bronco stoicism

Just tuned in. Are the two OLinemen playing both ways the entire game? I know the line is thin but they are going to be exhausted…

Some are, yeah

Haven’t watched the BW scrimmage yet seen a few breakdowns. General concensus is offense was underwhelming. Which isn’t too surprising. Between a stripped down package that is also a new package and a brand new Oline.

These games are for the fans not the players so I’m far from worried about anything at this point.

Is there a link to the spring game?

Here’s the highlights at least. Full replay probably on WatchESPN under the replays section if you have access to it.

Can we get defenders who can tackle like this at UVA???

The anticipation and read was tremendous. I just watched it like 5 times to be sure, and he is up and takes a step before she takes her second step.

Edit - Worth noting that he absolutely knew she was up to something. He does glance up at the floater, but otherwise he is staring at her from the moment the clip begins to when he gets her. Even so, he reacts in probably under half a second.

Pretty sh$t form. If he wasnt tackling a 120lb flyweight he would have been worked. But i did like his persuit angle and anticipation
