Lol Sharma wasn’t even the best player on his team. Christian Nitu missed most of the season with an injury. (Don’t think he’s in the portal but really want him in the portal he looked solid vs us with the extended run he got with Maliq Ewin out)
It’s like saying Obi Toppin was the best Dunker in 2022 since he won the 2022 dunk contest (when a lot of players who could win it don’t participate anymore). Canada’s best was either state side in the prep circuit (like Will Riley) or reclassed into 2023/25
