Pitino and Odom playing Monopoly and work out a trade - Marvin Gardens for a Pennsylvania Avenue?
Looking at follows. One of Odom’s former Utah St players is playing in Germany and his profile header his him and Mike scott lol
Another salty comment: is that NC State roster gonna be that good? Right now, I’d still take ours, tbh
Wade is going with the Yanks pre-Gene Michael strategy of winning the backpage** battle but losing on the field
(**Meaning, sports pages, not escort ads)
Village Voice says hold my spritzer
Who’s doing a better portal job:
Homer answer
- Wade
- Odom
Non-homer answer
- Wade
- Odom
I take ours over theirs if the reports of the two bigs verify. I understand the angst though.
The NCAA might be interested to know an NC State team official is promoting and glorifying tobacco usage! Sanctions!
100%. German, Big U, Tillis and whatever PF we get is much better than Scott (assuming they get him) Deng, Arceneaux and whoever
PitinoS
Again if the reports verify I switch to Odom on the non-Homer answer.
His roster is all wright
Fresh is right, but do you think Young Pitino would be cleaning up here? I just don’t know. He carries a brand even if he is not his dad, but I wonder if some of the recruiting misses for us are not self inflicted on the academic side. Again not sure. Ultimately it would have been nice to retain 5-6 of the players instead of 2 (though I am really happy one of those two is your guy Eli).
Man great question and I dont know. Huge plus for UVa guys transfering out is you assume for them academic side is tight and they have no problem moving
For whatever reasons is not the same for guys coming in
Jamie Shaw’s anonymous coaches article is subscription but there’s some really good quotes in there. Paints the picture of what’s gone on, particularly with how the rev sharing settlement shaped everything.
“There was so much false hysteria created around the April 7 house settlement deadline,” a coach in the Big 12 told me. “We all had extra time on the back end. I think we’re going to look back and people will say they rushed into a decision in fear of that April 7 date.”
Another coach in the ACC said, “When you make those commitments early in the process, that becomes the market.”
“Trying to get it done before April 7 led to a lot of rushed decisions and overpaying players,” a coach in the Big 12 said.
Yep. And it amazes me that schools can talk donors into this type of money. Money is usually very smart actually. But maybe love for your University and sports emotion blurs that
