Thereās a point where the NIL spent isnāt worth it.
Like that isnāt even a top 5 team talent wise let alone with so many new additions the growing pains of them trying to develop team chemistry and what not. Also I donāt see a lot of fit. or elite shooting like Kentuckyās team this year had.
Still feel like at the end of the day continuity is king. Auburn Florida and Houston were talented but also had a few if not a lot of returners and added a good piece or two. Scheyer did a good job getting 3 top freshman and then adding veteran role players who took reduced roles to be a part of something great (great being an ACC title, a final 4 appearance, and then only one fg in the last 10 minutes of the final 4 game)

like if Aberdeen is $2 million, then we got our guards for a STEAL (I would take Jacari, Dallan, and Lewis over Aberdeen. Kid should have stayed at Florida/benefitted a lot from The nerdās coaching and roster building)

Agreed, money can obviously only take you so far. This just doesnāt look like a contender to me. Lacks any sort of continuity, sound roster construction, etc.

Spending all this and not getting Yaxel or Andrej (or a Dent or a Luis level guy) feels like a miss to me. I know their big land is Quaintance and I think he makes sense for a team spending a lot because heās too risky for a team with even a pretty high budget, but still a ton of risk for a guy you need to be really good for you.
Theyāre deep and a have a bunch of guys I like, but outside of OO Iām a little skeptical any of these guys are huge difference makers (and tbh Iām a bit of an Oweh skeptic, but that is a personal bugaboo I know Iām broadly wrong about). Lowe and Quaintance need to really hit for this to be a success, and I donāt think thatās a given at all.

I just donāt see them having enough money left over. Epps strikes me as the type that would go to Memphis or some program like that who can offer a bigger bag than heās worth

Apparently the top A10 teams (Mason VCU Dayton GW) have close to $4-5 million budgets. Itās why they were able to keep players like Amael LāEtang and Rafael Castro.
