I have and I really wasnāt that all impressed. In the NCAAT his team had so many shotclock violations and their offense looked so anemic. He plays tough defense so his teams will win a lot of gamesā¦ think heāll struggle in March imo.
Like his offense was wack. Tony offenses were slow but had a plan.

Really, really implore you to do a little more research before you drop assertive takes like that. Watching one game in the tourney where they are working at a substantial talent disadvantage (its a roster full of D2 guys) is not nearly enough to conclude that his offense is āanemicā. To say his offense is āwackā and has āno planāā¦sorry dude, thatās just categorically untrue.
Not trashing you, but I watched more Drake this year than prob anyone on the board. McCollum is a visionary. He describes himself as a defense first guy but make no mistake, his offensive system is whatāll make him a HOFer. Read any of the hundreds of articles/videos on the internet breaking down itās principles or listen to what other coaches have to say about it if you donāt believe me

Thereās was nothing visionary with his offense, Iām sorry bro. Ofc there are going to be a bunch of articles written about a guy who has won that many games. But that offense wonāt fly at this level and he wonāt get the talent he needs to win big at Iowa to be a hall of fame coach. He aināt no Tony Bennet.

Even if he hadnāt won as many games as he had, there would still be articles written about it bc it truly is a highly innovative and unique system. Do a deep dive into the off-ball movement within his offense (in particular the way his screeners will constantly shift angles). Iāve sincerely never seen anything quite like it. Saying they would only write articles bc of his winning percentage is such a poor way to counter my post and a cheap way to avoid doing any actual research. Once again, categorically untrue take.

I watch college basketball. I donāt coach it, so why would I read about his X and Osā¦ i ultimately donāt care. Heās in the big league now, letās see. I watched enough of his offense to tell that Stirtz isnāt a P5 guy and heāll struggle in the big ten.
