The London Johnson didn't announce on April 14th thread

In all fairness, you wouldn’t hear it.

The track record of Tony giving freshman PGs decent minutes is pretty consistent: London, Ty, Beekman, Kihei. In ‘23 he would certainly play early and often. If he wants to be ‘22, there are very few situations where he could be guaranteed solid minutes this late in the game. Most schools have either filled that position through recruiting or are looking at the portal. If kihei leaves, we become just as good as any other option but he’ll still have to earn and be in a crowded class.

Beekman - 29 minutes per game
Clark - 27 mpg
Jerome - 14 mpg
Perrantes - 30 mpg

In the context that Perrantes was still here, I understand Jerome’s frosh minutes. Kihei’s are a complete head scratcher to me and always will be. And I will always buy him dinner/drinks if I see him because Purdue.

I always felt that Kihei was a reaction to UMBC. CTB wanted a small quick guard who could defend quick guards in a way that Ty and Kyle couldn’t.

Except that Clark committed before uMBC

There goes that theory.

Sometimes I wonder how things might have gone if Matt Coleman had joined UVA instead of Texas.

Better one if devonte Graham never went to foxfield

Really wanted Devonte!

Never forget that Tony played with Muggay Bouges. Saw first hand what a small ball hawking guard can do to disrupt

Maybe we’d have a natty?

Maybe we’d have a natty?

Or maybe not, eh?

I’m kind of a fan of the whole “having a mens’ basketball natty” thing they have going on.

Should I be worried that Caleb Love will leave after showing out in the F4 and then LJ slides into his spot at Carolina? Someone talk me off the ledge please

Thanks for putting that out into the universe. :man_facepalming:

Caleb Love was always going to be gone after this season

Caleb Love has made himself some money in this tournament. Dude has never seen a shot he didn’t like, and it helps a bunch when they go in.

For those of you bold enough to watch a film breakdown of an uncommitted recruit, this is from @brogdonfanpage :

I look forward to watching this soon! (I feel like my “don’t watch highlight tapes of an uncommitted guys” started as a rule of convenience, but it’s getting close to a superstition).

Not sure how much playing time LJ will get in the game (this Friday) bc he’s one of the younger guys but this team is absolutely stacked
