Call me the biggest of all homers and a softy but I can’t be angry at Tony. He’d had to do something so insanely egregious for me to ever get to that point with him. And no, I don’t think setting up his top assistant to be his successor after a successful offseason is “insanely egregious.” It stings, and we’re all hurt, but I’ve seen a lot of takes that equate to Tony having poor character or F’ing over the program, and it’s wild to me.

Couldn’t agree more - I feel no anger towards him. Just sadness and gratitude - if anyone could watch that press conference and think that this isn’t extremely difficult for him - idk what to tell them

This is going to get lost in the back and forth, but I’m going to miss CTB. Oddly enough, the thing I’m going to miss most is that after a tough loss, he always had the right thing to say. When the next tough loss comes (and it will come) we aren’t going to have Tony’s calm demeanor to remind us that joy comes in the morning.
