Carla wasting no time ensuring that everyone knows sheās Tonyās boss and will hire who she wants.
Sheāll try. This isnāt FB, search isnāt in reality going through her.
Glad thatās at least the message. If Ron has a nice season, then he gets to be a candidate. (And likely eventual recipient, but at least the message seems correct)
God bless you brother. Will be praying for you.
And if our donors had their way, sheād be replaced by Tony as AD.
That really doesnāt mean anything - if RS goes 27-8, then no need at end of season. If heās 21-11 and either doesnāt make the tourney or loses 1st round then search (although I siuspect that discrete inquiries about next year are already underway). Win-win. I would have preferred she just said weāll take a look as the season prgresses and that the focus is on continuing the culture and winning ways of the program that CTB built.
LOL. I think Carla made it pretty clear. Ron Sanchez not be in the head coach in 25-26.
Another name iād be interested in kicking the tires on is Wes Miller. Feels like heād enjoy getting to come to the ACC being a North Carolina guy.
Did anybody think to offer Carlisle the job while heās there? Canāt hurt.
Would anyone oppose that? I know who I trust more
I donāt think she did.
We did the same when Holland retired, and in the end, Hollandās lead assistant got the job.
Which worked out very well until personal dalliances and team assaults, thefts, trespassing + a box cutter ended him.
Letās just give Kyle the job.
Hand him his diploma and the head coach contract at the same time in May.
Pretty sure heās building a house in Farmington
I did have the thought last night: āIs Jenny Boucek any less qualified than the dude that BYU hired from the NBA?ā Almost the same amount of NBA assistant experience, same amount of non-college head coaching experience. Apprenticed under even more of an accomplished coach. Just idle thoughts.
āThe Tides Inn: Made me want to give up on my dreamsā
they dont know how. they havenāt figured out hot to get mics to reporters in press conferences for 15 years
Before my time, but didnāt we offer or at least have serious discussions with Barnes and Gillen before hiring JJ? Or do I have my timelines confused?
That would have been an interesting alternative history: Doug āShamgodā Smith @DFresh11
Well done ladies and gentlemen, fascinating read. Humans are so interesting.
Barnes reportedly accepted. But the point is, they came back to Jones. So no one can argue that Williams is affirmatively saying Sanchez wonāt end up as coach after this year.
(Jones didnāt even have an audition period, or not the way Odom did in the 1989 season before he took the Wake job.)
