Feel like those guys will be going with Hurley. (if he goes/could be wrong of course)
Isaiah Abraham walk-on redshirt?

I think UConn would be smart to try and keep at least one of them around, can definitely see him bringing Murray with him since heās more the offensive wizard but would hope for their sake they can make one of them stay if that ends up happening
Referencing this I assume?

Luke Murray isnāt anywhere near ready for a big whistle. Kimani Young could be it, though heās never been HC before. But his resume is marginally better and I think is more trusted by Hurley. For either of those guys, being a HC in the Big East is better than being an assistant in the NBA unless getting into NBA coaching is their long term goal.
Yeah it seems like Kimani Young is the guy for the UConn fanbase if Hurley leaves based on social media and Reddit comments (ie super reliable sources)
If Hurley leaves - time to pitch Murray to be our Offensive Coordinator
Thatās just a bit he does to piss off the Providence fans
Have folks seen these transfer rankings? I hadnāt heard of them until Eamonn gave it a shout out. I know lots of folks are doing transfer rankings, but these seemed kinda interesting.
The Lawal one was interesting:
To Lawal, I ask. Is this situation at VT really that much better than VCU? I would genuinely say VCU may be better than VT next year if he stays (as of writing this, who knows haha). Heās the best leaper in the country. That obviously helps in many ways. Needs to gain weight. But not a bad starting point.
Itās gotta be an NIL thing, I assume. Not an objectively better situation thing. I keep harping on Lawal b/c it bugs me.
I had the thought when the Illinois stories last year were emphasizing āwe abandoned 5-out ball movement stuff for Marcus Domask posting up his man 100 times per gameā that Hawkins probably wasnāt thrilled with that offensive shift.
Both can be true, right?
I can believe the decision to portal was primarily about role/ fit. But once in, pursued by multiple programs (all perceived better fits), that win condition might just feel āmet.ā
The game shifts and the player gets to decide on any criteria they want. Do you optimize for program fit or does the value of something else gain ground?
Or everything I guess; Hawkins hits all the bullets in the full tweet.
So this guy is getting an extra year of eligibility because he missed a handful of games while waiting on a waiver. Insane. if thatās how this works, a bunch of players will be impacted. Efton Reid for example missed games while waiting on a waiverā¦so extra year for him.
Oh wowā¦didnāt every two-time (non-grad) transfer initially sit for a little this past season until the lawyers got going on the injunctions?
Not an original thought, but at some point some judge somewhere will deem five years to play four arbitrary and capricious.
I feel like the college sports we knew even 5 years ago is on life support, but this would be the death. Unlimited eligibility and NIL-eligible as long as youāre enrolled and attending classes.
Thatās when Iāll be done.
Why should you even have to attend classes? Other university employees donāt

Carolina didnāt.
