The only thing is I think kids wonāt sit the bench a year like they used to. It will be interesting to see if this changes the way CTB does his rotations. Obviously the risk of transfers has increased if you donāt let them see the court.

Would be nice if we could just pick and chose like UK. At least heās off the board early so we can focus elsewhere

Itās really this simple: if youāre a top 40 recruit and donāt play at all freshman year, deservedly of not, youāre going to transfer.

Well saidā¦ but doesnāt this really point the finger at recruiting? In your opinion, what could/should CTB do to improve it?
Murphy was never staying more than two years, including one for the red-shirt! Hypothetically we could have sit Murphy, not won the ACC regular season, not made the NCAA, and still lost JAR.
Iām glad CTB has build a strong program with a reputation. It would be very difficult to build a program the way CTB with these new transfer rules. Kids wonāt be that patient!

That wonāt stop a whole slew of panicked posts about not being able to land the top talent, talent from VA, etc. I am sure there will also be a few suggesting Morsell and JARs experiences pushing him away. When it rains it pours with the fan base. You and I both know that

I mean Deandre Hunter is the clearest example. Justin McKoy last year based on the squad we had.
Iād argue JAR would have had minutes at most other ACC programs. Not worth mentioning all of the other redshirts since thereās a pervasive fan narrative for those that I donāt feel like getting the hate replies on.

Really? But to have that luxury, you also have to have everything else that goes along with being KY ā you want that? Those banners hanging at Rupp Arena keeping you up at night with envy? BTW ā howād that work out for Cal this year? If you wanna buy some Kentucky gear, Iām sure the Lexington bookstore will sell you some. Iām not envious of any other program, especially after 2019. But Iām realistic. Thereās a reason I bought 17 Natty t-shirts!
