Transfer wish list 2022-2023

Im not disagreeing with you at all. Just in the hypothetical situation in which he did come here, the players here are not as big a hurdle as we make them out to be. I think I said in one of my earlier comments I see him at VCU or one of the pac 12 schools that was after him. If he does indeed leave Wake Forest in the first place.

Forbes doesn’t exactly seem like the easiest guy to play for, even though he also seems like a good coach. He’s a bit old school in that way.

Bobi’s minutes have gone down, but what I also noticed in our game is that he doesn’t have much of a role when he is in. But he’s also a true 1st year in his first year in the states.

Anyway, I think agree with all that it’s unlikely he comes here.

My guess is Forbes really lets his veteran players go and is really hard on younger kids. Which I get

If the report was true that Bennett consulted with Traudt’s family before bringing in BVP for one year, I can’t imagine they’d bring in any 6’10” sophomore with a little bit of experience without talking to the Buchanan family. Bringing in a younger guy in 2023-4 (a class behind) to compete with Buchanan is fair game, but bringing in a guy who is one year older is kind of unfair. Buchanan would have made a decision based on foreseeable roster composition. Getting a super senior for one year while Buchanan is a freshman is one thing, but bringing in a 3-yr guy one class ahead of him is another.

All SEC freshman team - 12 pts a game and 6 boards … but then he wasn’t used as much offensively his 2nd year … played 30 min a game 1st year and then 25 min a game his 2nd year there.
They beat Va Tech in the madness in 2018 1st round and then got blown out by Villanova

Who was Bamas coach then? Avery Johnson? He sorta seems like a tough guy to play for in some ways

Edit: whata move by Braxton to get to UVa. And then got the most out of it

Pretty sure he actually did his last year of high school here at Sunrise Christian. But that doesn’t undermine the point - he’s still a freshman and majorly adjusting.

Thanks - had forgotten or not realized that

Thing is while CTB is a standup individual, you should bring in the best talent you can no matter what, its all about competition. Especially in college you should always expect to be recruited over.

Excerpt:

A 6-8, 230-pound power forward from Gastonia, North Carolina, Adelekun (pronounced ah-DEL-ah-Kun) played at Highland Tech as a high school freshman before attending Gaston Day School for the last three. He helped the Spartans advance to the state playoffs all three years, earning all-conference each season along the way, including all-state honors while averaging 20.0 points, 13.3 rebounds and 3.4 blocks as a senior. Adelekun finished his Gaston career with 1,650 points to his credit.

Grist for the content mill.

At one point the Zags literally triple-teamed him, and he dumped it off to someone for a lay-up.

It’s not like the Zags were playing badly, this kid was just unstoppable.

Edit - Like, the first time he made that left-handed floater off high on the glass, I was like “Wow, lucky that went in” but after he made like 5 in a row I though “I guess that’s just something he can do…’
