Very good feet for a big and he has a good motor. He will be solid next year. If he was more ready he wouldn’t be here.

Good motor and fast feet, OK/ I’ve give you that. I still think my question is valid and that doesn’t move the needle. Everything still stands.

You are without question the most obnoxious poster on here. It’s not particularly close. Which sucks because you have some good stuff to bring to the table but just let your emotions take over anytime we lose. There’s a reason you’ve been banned so many times - go take a breather

My theory is that Rohde has playing time autonomy. A part of his transfer agreement is that he decides when he plays and when he sits. Tony actually has no say in it.

Duke also hasn’t brought the same defensive intensity. What you usually see against a SWAC opponent in November

I’d love to hear how ANY of that is wrong? Please tell me how I’m wrong? High motor…gets manhandled all game. has zero touch or offensive skill set.

You HAVE TO get Eli some experience in this type of game.

McCain pushed off but refs didn’t understand that he was just doing a tik tok dance.

Have to. No excuse not to and it’s incredibly frustrating

ā€œWinning the second halfā€ is better than being outscored in the second half, but it doesn’t mean that the losing team ā€œcould haveā€ played as well in the first half also. There’s an unwritten ā€œagreementā€ by college coaches that if you destroy an opponent in the first half, you don’t try to embarass him in the second half, because who knows who might be applying for a job under who?

I still don’t understand why Wally Walker was brought here. I can’t imagine that Tony Bennett brought up the idea to bring Wally Walker in to the athletic department. I know he was here supposedly to help raise NIL. Doesn’t Barry Parkhill do UVa’s athletic department fundraising? Has Tony Bennett publicly discussed the hiring of Wally? :grinning:

Okay some more hot takes and Im bluring them

Tony retiring and Williford being named 1 year interim wouldn’t be the worst thing. We could maintain the culture while also embracing recruiting talent and pushing the pace/being more aggressive. And then spend the one year while Williford is auditioning having Carla, Wally, and Tony Bennett evaluating hard candidates and working the back channels as buyouts get lower if Williford doesn’t work out.
My opinion here is based 100% on the fact that I feel Williford might be more likely to give Rohde and Dante the ā€œget lostā€ implied talk LOL. Would also probably play Bliss and Gertrude a lot.

1 year interim would kill all recruiting, no?

The Power minutes do sorta feel like Scheyer is just trolling us. :joy:

He’s a first year big who is undersized. Well ahead of most bigs by this time in their careers here. He just needs experience and strength. Everything you’re clowning on him for will improve with some weight and his feel will improve as he plays more.

Not that hard to understand but you are incapable of nuanced thought

Wonder if the acc told him to take it easy at half to keep us in the field

It does … but maybe also because he we are getting embarrassed and he can play the scrubs a bit more.

I’m back. During my break, I accepted the fact that we were going to get a bare-ass spanking on national TV. It makes it easier to watch.

I dislike Flip, but damn he’s good.

Feel like he’d normally have been a redshirt candidate but couldn’t with our roster.

yeah probably would need to give 4 year contract. Hopefully low buyout since UVA Admin has the advantage in negotiations (It’s his dream job/UVA alum/etc.)

How is he well ahead? Because he is played out of total necessity?
