For anyone that canāt figure this out. Dook has national championship aspirations. UVAās aspirations-make the tournament. Duke could roll out 5 guys off their bench and UVA would struggle to beat them with their starters. Currently a huge talent/ experience gap. If we make the tourney we will obviously be a 11 or so seed and will get thrashed the first game. Thatās okā¦ It will give our young guys something to work forā¦We are truly in Rebuild modeā¦ Imagine where we would be if Reece did not come back!! We have some young talent to work with but unless they get some 5* talent from the portal we are likely not seeing the tournament next yearā¦ Just my opinion. Love the Hooās and will be here through out what may come.

Yup. Donāt get the Buchanan bashing heās a 6ā11 220 freshman who would have redshirted if Dunn as a freshman wing was our only returning front court player

J Willy as the next coach would be the worst possible move. Heās an echo chamber for Tony. I generally feel like he is sometime a caricature of Tonyās stubbornness in interviewers. Not a good recruiter either.

Consider the source. Most sane people are excited about Buchanan long term. Heās playing way more than he should at this stage thanks to a weak roster
Thatās completely fair. Hence my mention of only 1 year interim period. I do think he would be a better recruiter if Tony keyed in the guys he recruited (DaRon Holmes, Ven Lubin, etc. etc.) that Tony has passed over in favor of others.
And he would play Gertrude more probably. My preference is still Abdur Rahim, Jabri be damned

Yeah more of a bashing of our roster construction that we are in this situation. Actually think Shedrick leaving was a much bigger loss than we think even if he woulda been his punk ass self. And Franklin not coming back

Not to pile on Tony too much, but why is he getting so demonstrative when we are down 24 in the second half but stood there stoically while Duke was building the lead in the first half? Whatās the point of getting into it now?

Thatās my point. Heās been forced to play as a result of dire roster mismanagement and recruitment. So thatās all you got? Your optimistic because Tony has no other option? A āhigh motorā is all you gotā¦ Has he even made a shot beyond 5 feet all year?
I canāt believe any shot Harris shoots is what Tony would want

The plus: This game makes Tony realize that the Dante minutes are never good. Dante never plays again and UVA starts rattling off win after win after win.
Eli is a black hole with the ball. If you make them, great, but if you donāt then itās a bad lookā¦. Iād like to see him set up a teammate once in awhile
