I have nothing against Blake, I actually respect the hell out of his fight every game as a frosh. Iām separating my respect for the kid with my general outlook based on how I see his game. Heāll get stronger and hopefully he becomes a good rebounder (?) but beyond that, he has again as no offensive game to speak of and is undersized down there. I donāt expect too much out of him. Hope he turns into a pretty good defender at least, thatās his long-term contribution I guessā¦

Making it to Saturday/Sunday of the NCAAT would be a huge win for this group.

Why is why today pushed me to the āTony should retireā side. Unreal blindness. Yeah Tony knows more than me, which makes his obsession with Dante even more absurd
edit: I donāt want Tony to actually retire. I want Tony here forever and I want him to adapt and grow. But this season shows otherwise and I hate that he is going to blame it on NIL and the portal when it was his own damn stubbornness and inability to adapt that caused this season. You built this roster. Plenty of kids who wanted to be here that we passed on that did well elsewhere compared to who we got in their spot. You chose to scheme how you schemed knowing the strengths and weaknesses of the roster. You chose to place emphasis on which players to develop in game. etc. etc.

If you donāt think heās shown any offensive flash this year we have nothing to talk about. His issues are lack of strength and physicality at this point and thatās extremely clear to anyone who actually watches the games

Nah, I think he has a much higher leap to make. He was equally bad offensively in HS - itās not just a size thing. We donāt have a history of developing post games. Not sure his frame suggests that he can beef up to play the interior game.
I think expectation should be solid ACC starter by Year 3 or 4. Not ābest Tony bigā.

Blake Buchanan reminds me of Otis Fulton, from Terry Hollandās Steve Castellan-Otis Fulton-Bobby Stokes recruiting class, if Otis hadnāt had the near career-ending foot injury.
Heās shown good touch - honestly so much so on his little fade away that heās become too comfortable with it.

Heās averaging 3 pts/game on about 3 attempts < 3ft from the basket at about 40% FG, plsu 50% FTs on the season over 29 games. Sorry not buying what youāre selling. Honestly I think thatās a delusional take. āOffensive flashesā get f out of here. lol
