NCAA/NIL/player rules are changing rapidly. Too rapidly for us old-heads. So are player expectations which should be the main concern. Players will ultimately win that debate and we need to adapt. Letās use our reputation and NIL differently moving forward.
Go get the guys we need. We are a Top-3 program in the ACC. No question. We should deploy every resource we have that we can to get the best players we can. We have a great compliance group at UVA and there are no moral victories anymore. Keep up or get left behind, always within the rules. Never ever outside of the rules
Letās stress test our compliance and NIL teams. Go get some dudes. Itās the new normal.
Iām not advocating for anything bad or illegal. Iām advocating for us to stay within the rules. But letās be aggressive and do what we need to do to get the people here that we need.

i agree with you 100 on this however my question to you and to the members here, will Tony adjust and go after the 5 stars or even 4 stars that fits his system with CA$H? The time is here. This is what it takes to get the great players now. Adjust or get left behind. I have felt left behind since the nattty. The recruiting has taken a huge downward spiral for many reasons.

Agreed, change is needed for UVA to return to an Elite status! There are several reasons why we are here at the moment. The game is totally different today than it was in 2016-19 form a rule and recruiting perspective.
Will never happen. My speculation is that the foundation of this program isfundamentally at odds with NIL and the new NCAA landscape. Belief in god and ālearning the systemā for several years aināt going to cut it anymore.
Do we have any young heads on the staff that āgetā NIL? Who knows. Whatever sorry ass NIL package we put together - if any - AND his own freaking brother being on the coaching staff couldnāt even get Jacob Wilkins.

Itās not like we lost him to somewhere random. We lost him to the place his dad is the greatest player in history. Also the flagship school in the state he grew up
Worse, Iām starting to questiion judgement. Why the heck is Tony going after and spending so much time and resources on London Johnsonā¦the dude went to the G league lol. Did the staff ever actually know this kid at all or talk to anyone in his camp? A guy even thinking about going G league out of hs? why would Tony even look at him.How did they not get a sniff of that? Thatās about as incompatible mentally you can get to this program.
Why did we lose Jarin Stevenson then? I can continue this all day. Program is cooked. Who is going to change? Ron Sanchez?? Tony basically put on the surrogate father approach with Kon Knueppel and dude took the bag.
And it doesnāt give me any joy to say our program is cooked but we are at the ceiling for the new norm now. This season.
