I find it hard to believe Dante will play a lot next year but I also found it hard to believe Dante would keep getting minutes this yearā¦

We can lose to Carolina and still be fine. The important games, assuming this score holds, will be BC and GT. HAVE to have those two and then maybe one game in the ACCT just to be safe.
If 22-9 and 13-7 in the ACC with a decent non-conference slate doesnāt get us in the tourney, we need to leave this conference ASAP.

This is hilarious because Dante at least created some offense. Nobody else could. He could at least drive it a little bit.

If this game ends up being like the Miami game last year were we just played Dunn and McKneely the entire 2nd half (Gertrude this time), I will consider this loss less shitty

But that doesnāt let you factor in margin of defeat. If we come back as make this a 9 point loss and lose two other respectable games, sure. If we lose by 30 then UNC beats us by 25 and Duke beats us by 16 itās a different story
It would be nice to see this team cut it to 10 or just under in the second half to make the final score respectable. I canāt imagine we lose by 30. If we cannot make a few adjustments and make a run at the worst defensive team in the acc, then I also will start to question the coaching staffs chops like everyone else here.

Yeah, thatās where part of the disconnect isāI think we just need to beat BC and GT and weāll be in. Could be headed to Dayton but I wouldnāt be sweating too much on selection Sunday. Iām no bracketologist though

Weāve missed at least five we shouldnāt have ā the two short jumpers from Blake, McKneelyās 14-footer, Dunnās runner, one of Beekmanās layups. Thatās five ā Minor had a nice post-up that appeared to hit the side of the backboard.
Good opps ā bad execution.
Iāve walked away from a lot of UVA football games on TV thinking their playing did not warrent my time. Tonight may be the first time I do it for a basketball game.
But if we are able to turn things around, Iād miss a hell of a game.

The defense has been bad. Particularly the interior play. Blake was abysmal and then we chose to go down 20 rather than play Minor with two fouls.

We might sneak in as an 8th seed, and then at least weād likely get stomped by a P5 school and go home with some dignity. Iād rather lose to a P5 than a mid-majorā¦
And since Tony canāt win a tourney game without 4 nba players in a starting lineup, I donāt think anyone actually thinks we have a 1st round win in us.
