Theyâll get up for UVA visiting. Will probably be the last time they really care about their team this year, as after this itâs back to mediocrity and NIT resignation, but for one last shining evening they get to get hyped for a game that matters a lot to them. UVA and Duke visiting Cassell are their super bowls.
This 100%. I donât care how down they are on the menâs team. There will be fans there tonight and they will be loud. Itâs a primetime game on a Monday night. The barn will be braying in the hopes of an upset tonight.
Letâs go into the barn and take care of business and send the Hokies packing.
Iâll bite. Is he better than Reece, IMac, or Dunn?
Winning tonight will require a toughness and an edge from UVA that Iâm not sure weâve seen yet, other than maybe at Clemson. Since tech wonât be in the tournament, this is their Super Bowl.
Itâs going to be loud, theyâre going to hit 3âs, and Iâm excited to see how we respond and who steps up. I like ending the regular season with trips to the barn and to Cameron to prepare for the post-season.
Personally I think road games are often easier than neutral site games.
Love this team in this spot. Kenpom says loss. Vegas says loss. Almost half the fans say loss. I love all the bulletin board material. Double digit win (maybe not quite 20 Fresh).
I donât know. Honestly, I think that win at FSU showed toughness, and we had to put up 80 to win it.
@wahoobelinda is the MVP of this thread right now.
I am officially retired from making graphics. Good God @jazznutUVA - we may have a new hoodie offering on our hands @Merch
- Flat hedge (screenerâs defender at the level of the screen)
- Hard hedge (you know what this is)
- 0-25% of post touches
- 26-50% of post touches
- 51-75% of post touches
- 76-100% of post touches
- Jordan Minor
- Blake Buchanan
Made some edits to fix typos, so you may have to revote.
Cons of this game:
I hate Cassell
This is their super bowl. Fans will be most loud and this will be their best game of the season production wise
I will have to watch Frank Beamer eat popcorn at some point in this game.
Tired legs + Mentally weak = could get ugly at times
Chucking team = high variance. Could get ugly one way or another
Pros:
Virginia Tech is pretty atrocious defensively. Like we were miserable offensively last time and still put up 65 points.
They are really easy to guard. Just dont hedge and dont double. Switch when you can.
The Frank Beamer comment. Haha - 100% true
Someone tell VPI to pay their electric bill before tonight so the boys donât have to shoot in that cave
We should bring our own light stanchions. Just set them up without comment.
Everything I voted I thought would happen I am NOT in favor of happening. I think we shouldnât hard hedge and I think Minor should play a lot more and I donât think we should double the post but I imagine it will all happen the other way around.
I would, however, love to see CTB get mad at the refs again and have two games in a row where he getâs Tâd up! Just for the fun of it.
I work with a VT grad⌠he told me in their âmaster planâ⌠the basketball upgrade section just says âupgrade indoor lightingâ. Everything else is for Lane improvements.
If we had beaten Pitt, this game would mean less, but now itâs huge. Assuming we can beat BC and GaTech (not easy, but doable), a win tonight should put us in good position for a double bye in the ACC Tournament and a spot in the NCAA â regardless of what we do against Carolina and Duke.
I donât think Tech is that good this year, but itâs always a tough environment, and they certainly have the potential to get hot. Iâm not sure what to expect, to be honest. Hoping for the best, wouldnât be surprised by the worst.
See yall in Blacksburg! Letâs get a W!
I think for now in college basketball Reece!! And iMac are better basketball players than Elijah
