Team LRA-
Not many guys get breaking news from their mother but I just got an update from mine who is in Tallahassee staying at the team hotel with the team and other family members. Being Easter Weekend, many players families travelled in for the “Easter Series”
The team is safe and Walker is having dinner with our extended family. Lots of other families doing the same.
Team is leaving tomorrow morning at 9 AM as of the last text I received.
Was looking forward to going but sometimes there are bigger things than sports.
Hope everyone is doing great and looking forward to their Easter Weekend.

Thanks for the update, Chris. Oddly, or whatever, I was cutting grass all day today and thinking about basketball when I grew up as a Celtics fan and realizing that your Dad defined the 6th man role as we know it today. Here’s one of the greatest players to ever play the game, yet Hondo came off the bench for the Celtics back in the 60’s. That had to be totally demoralizing for opponents when they had to defend Sam Jones and K. C. Jones (or Bob Cousy), then your Dad comes off the bench and … game over! He destroyed them. Great memories for a Celtics fan back then at a time when the Red Sox couldn’t win anything. No wonder if he Celts won the NBA, what, a zillion years in a row.

You should check out the new HBO documentary “Celtics City”. It’s a good one even if you aren’t a Celtics fan.
Funny that they don’t mention The Transfer Portal or NIL the whole series!
