We did have a 22-16 game against them in our series with them — and had 5- and 9-spots.

Just need to put some crooked numbers up and hope things settle down on the mound. All you can ask for.

BC’s guy on the mound is very good though. Freshman #2 starter but he’s been their best guy all year.

7-2 BC top of the 2nd, wild pitch runner comes home from 3rd, Ference throws home but Moore is late to cover and the ball ends up out of play as another runs scores behind it. This has been an inauspicious start.

Every kid I played high school baseball with could slide step when runners were on base but pitchers at UVA can’t? Unreal

Made note of that on another board, Jay is gonna have to learn a slide step in order to have success in the pros. He gets away with it in college by having a really good pickoff move and being able to use it an unlimited amount of times, but his delivery out of the stretch takes AGES.
