Lost opportunity there.
UVA will win though. It’s going to be a good 24 hours for me. That Knicks collapse and hopefully Thijs announcing tomorrow maybe are the signs.

Was that a gunshot? lol
Nah foul ball hit the top of the overhang.

BC starting pitcher just got pulled from the game, apparently something is up with his vision. He had walked five batters in just 2 1/3 innings of work.
Hoos have a runner on 2nd with one down here in the bottom of the 3rd. Nunnallee at bat in a 2-0 count.

Leaving four in scoring position in three innings might come back to haunt us.

8-4 BC top of the 4th, groundball to Becker scores another and the throw to 1st is offline anyway. Eagles have one on and one out in the frame, they’ve stolen SEVEN bases in less than four innings of play so far.

No — left one on third in the first, bases loaded in the second, and on third in the third. Four in scoring position left on.

9-4 BC in the top of the 4th, two out, two strike RBI base hit to RF.
Much like our series earlier this year, BC has absolutely killed us with two strikes. Most of the time it’s not hard contact either, they’re just taking the ball the other way and finding grass.

Becker is such a talented, and also incredibly frustrating player.
He gets a base hit with one out in the 4th and then promptly gets doubled up on a soft liner to 2nd.

This kid is going to shut uva down.. getting doubled up in that weak liner is just how this game has gone for UVA
9-5 BC bottom of the 6th, Becker with a bases loaded RBI groundout. Hoos have runners on the corners with two outs in the frame.
9-8 BC bottom of the 6th, Henry Ford with the three-run BOMB to LF and we’ve got ourselves a ballgame again.
Well that changes everything
Wish we would’ve safety squeezed with didawick
11-8 BC top of the 8th, two RBI double and then take 3rd on the throw home as Ference for some reason doesn’t make the tag on the runner. No outs in the frame.
12-8 BC, wild pitch scores the run from 3rd. Nobody on and one out in the frame now.
Ference has had a rough game behind the plate.
This may be the worst we’ve played defensively all year–which is really saying something cuz we had some really bad games
