I sort of feel like that team would’ve been the team to overachieve and make a run in the tournament….
Is it because they were good? No. They kind of sucked.
But that’s why they would’ve won a few games. Because none of this makes sense lol.

And Gertrude to redshirt. That was my prediction last summer though I feel less good about it now than I did then.
I will stand by my more recent view that this will be closer to a Dre Hunter path than my original prediction of a Devon Hall development curve. I don’t think Elijah is going to be as good as quickly as Hunter, I mean Dre was a top 5 draft pick, but I think he’s going to be very good and we’ll see signs of it next season and he’ll be a beast the season after next.

He’s never going to be as good as Dre after sitting out two straight years. He’ll never get that time back. Whatever the exact reasoning Elijah’s potential is now significantly lower than it was 12 months ago

Key takes on the bench shots I saw
- eli has that traudt look about him. Definitely not happy.
- man jwilly sits waaaaay down the bench while Ron sits right next to Tony (cannot recall the arrangement last season)
- chase doesn’t have the same energy. I’m sure he’s trying to be professional

Probably will lose by 10-15 to Florida (hoping for the reverse jinx). But man I am so encouraged about our ceiling and watching this team grow. Hope I think some would call it. We can be a legitimate top 10 team come end of February.
Gonna have to depend a lot of the growth of Buchanan. Looked good in spots. Looked out of sorts in spots. First game jitters + still only a first year + small ball hopefully. Also need Minor to become serviceable quick. Rohde also still a 2nd year and adjusting but showed flashes and a good solid base to work with.

Do you really think I well lose like that to Florida? I know they’re very good but I feel like our defense is a bitch to play this early and kinda helps us equalize against better opponents.

Haven’t scrolled but has anyone mentioned our coaching staff attire? Frumpy and overly casual. Tony went from tie, to no tie, to no blazer, to polo and khakis. We are 3 years away from him coaching in PJs.
