I’m going with the conservative take for the starters:
Beekman
Harris
McKneely
Dunn
Minor
With a chance neither team breaks 50.

I have tickets to a concert on Monday and need to decide if I’m going to bail to watch hoops.
Can someone let me know the starting lineup to make my decision easier
Imagine Dragons? Skip the concert bro
Nah… by “concert”, it’s the TS Eras movie LOL
Fresh gonna need help with that one
Let’s assume Reece, Mac, and RD are starters (not 100%, but seems very likely). Who are the other two starters for the opener? Public votes, so we can see your pair:
You know I’m right.
Yes Nut!
The Groves hype train is real, at least amongst us too online Wahoos.
Not quite haha
My expected starting lineup
Kihei
Kody
Assane Sene
Paul Jesperson
Jarred Reuter
You could have included me man but I would have turned down the start
Hey, you were part of one of my favorite UVA teams, nothing controversial about you. I just picked some of the more contentious folks from the recent past that have been debated about on various UVA internet sites.
They all contributed and they all worked hard. This was to trigger posters and poke fun at ourselves for worrying about starting line ups.
I like to point out how ridiculous we all are, and then I go and be ridiculous some more. It’s the way of fan message boards.
I think we might be overthinking this a bit. Need to remember the team we are playing Monday. Small and athletic. That says Minor starts to me. Doesn’t mean Groves won’t play more mins or start down the road but I suspect he’s out there first Monday night.
Austin Nichols as 6th man, I assume.
For the poll, its basically Rohde vs Harris for one spot and Groves vs Minor for the other. We’ve heard a mix of things about Harris so far, but on balance its better than expected while with Rohde we’ve heard almost nothing and what little we’ve heard has been negative, so vibes say Harris for backcourt spot.
Groves and Minor are the same way. More news on Minor than on Rohde, and while its improved a bit lately it still seems mostly negative. On the other hand, Groves is probably in a race with Mr Potatohead for biggest pre-season stock riser plus he’s a crafty vet which CTB loves. So, vibes say Groves starts. Buchanan and Rohde fight it out for 6th man.
Meaning our starting lineup should have good ballhandling and defense, and ok outside shooting, but will be small (only slightly taller than our Shedrick-inclusive starting lineup last year) and bad at rebounding.
Edit - I thought I’d be disappointed with Groves winning a starting spot, but I’m surprised to discover that, to open the season at least, I’m totally fine with it. 100% want Rohde over Harris, though.
Went Groves/Rhode for the start.
I was thinking about voting for Harris, but that shoulder injury that kept him out of the second scrimmage may limit his minutes against Tarleton.
I also have the opposite feeling from Forest in that I think Minor will end up playing more minutes than Groves.
Forgot about the shoulder injury. Do I need to change my vote? Nah, Dante’s a quick healer.
In all seriousness, I cannot make any assessments (which will be totally unqualified anyway) until I see them play. So, I’m going to joke about the whole thing. And yes, I was going to put Nichols in originally. Not sure why I left him out.
Veteran leadership on the bench, no doubt.
