Graduated from Stanford in three years - nice
Now that’s a legit addition
Wonder if it says anything about the other OL from Stanford that we were in on in HS.
That’s our fishing hole
I’m not going to pretend to be an expert on evaluating football talent. It remains to be seen whether we’re targeting the right guys – but I find it encouraging that we’ve been successful getting the guys we’re targeting.
That’s really the only true metric of success at this point. As @Galileo24 and I have talked about we won’t truly know the impact of these guys until the end of the 24 season. But the fact that first choice targets are signing up is a very good sign. Given the success of AC and Kam i do believe the staff is solid at talent assessment
Our current OL coach was his OL coach while at Stanford.
Kenan Johnson off the board.

Damn nice landing spot in Utah
Forgot to update this, buy Syeed Gibbs ended up committing to GT. Micah Robinson, another CB we were pursuing in the portal, committed to Tulane today.
Seems like our DB portal board is gonna have to reset, we’ve missed out on some big targets.
The DB room looks ok, esp if Courtney follows through by signing with UVa on Wed.
Safeties:
Clary 6’0 204
Sanker 6’1 210
Johnson 6’2 200
Hardy 6’3 186
Lane 6’1 201
Adams 6’0 195
Courtney 6’0 190
Corners:
Greene 5’10 188
Walker 6’1 183
Gaines 6’1 197
Gaffney 5’11 194
Gray 6’1 170
Probably need to find another corner or two for depth.
Yeah we’re fine at Safety for the most part, but that Corner depth looks rough to me. Really need some more experience there even if Walker had a promising first season.
Looks like they’re still in it for two CBs from UMass and Cornell. Both conference first-teams. I believe both have visited.
Would love to see Gaines and Gaffney take the next step.
Saw they missed out on Gibbs sucks to hear about Robinson. I would have liked to lock one of them up.
I agree with the general sentiment here another 1 or 2 quality bodies at the CB position would make me feel a lot better. Even if guys make a jump there’s just not a lot of depth and one thing we know is you’re going to burn through some bodies in today’s world so having 2nd 3rd and 4th options matters and it opens up versatility for different looks.
Thought Malcolm Greene had another year too.
If you want a teaser for how talented this dude is, here’s a short highlight package from when he was in HS. Former top 100 recruit in the country, big frame, major red zone target. Him and Fields are gonna be hell to go up against on the boundaries, which just opens up more space for Tyree to operate in the slot.
Greene was my favorite target in the portal and Tyree was second. Let’s gooooo!!!
Wonder what led him to the portal. Did he get much PT this year?
