I have no experience with predicting the transfer portal. My instincts tell me I should portray exaggerated negative expectations to prevent any chance of me jinxing it, but what if it works the opposite of recruiting HS talent? It’s just a scary time. Just glad I’m not superstitious about these things.

I think this is the first time I’m approaching being excited about football since Bryce’s senior year. The Tech game still leaves a sour taste in my mouth, but I’m not giving up on this staff yet.

Tech game was sort of an everything that could go wrong did go wrong type of game. We were just so depleted defensively and in the spots that tech is perfectly designed to exploit. And after they got the lead we just fell apart.
I’m cautiously optimistic for next year. Tyree is a big time pickup. Schedule is manageable. Bowl game or bust.

Just to give a conglomerate update on where we’re at in terms of potential incoming transfers, here’s all the known offers we have out right now to portal entries per JF:

- Rhode Island CB Syeed Gibbs
Lots of other guys out there we’ve reached out to. I’m not the type to internet sleuth and see who are the most recent twitter follows for our targets but if you have time to kill and wanna go down that rabbit hole be my guest. That tends to be a surprisingly great way of determining which players we’re gaining interest from.
