The teams ranked 16-25 all lost this past week, as did 2 of the 5 unranked teams in front of us. Only St Maryâs, Indiana State, and Colorado State did not lose. We went from outside the field of 68 last week in Bracket Matrix to a consensus #9 seed going into last nightâs game. Hard to imagine not being ranked this week.

Weâre 16th in the country in overall 3P% (38%).
But 297th in the country in 3P rate (only 32% of our attempts are from three).
I though we would split @ FSU, @ VT, @ Duke, @ BC and I thought FSu and Duke would be the losses.
I am sure VT will have their best game of the year against us, but I feel surprisingly confidence that we win there and @ BC. We will see about Duke.

If we went up against a team with two ~50% 3pt shooters (Groves ranks 4th in the country; McKneely is 11th), plus a bench guy whoâd be up there as well if he had more volume, Iâd be more than a little worried. If that team also had two likely draft picks â and not the 3pt snipers, but two other guys â and you told me the team is also a beast on defense⌠well, that sounds like a team thatâs going to beat us.
I wouldnât want to play Virginia right now.

Reece just needs 5 more steals for the UVA career record. He also has a real chance at Crottyâs single season assist record, would need 4 postseason games at this pace.

YeahâŚ31 regular season games. Heâd need 35 total at this pace to catch Crotty. Actually at the current pace, heâd fall one assist shortâŚbut heâd get it haha.
Difference is Crotty only had 32 games in his record season. Averaged 6.7 to Reeceâs 6.1.
