Exactly why Iāve always said you have to have a talented underclassmen play during the season so they are ready for whatever circumstanceā¦. How many times have I said weāve only been healthy three out of the 14 seasons come March Hunter, Tonyā¦.. uuuuuuuggggghhhhh.
Imagine if we had given Eli 10 minutes all year per game

In the context of at least this season those minutes could easily cost us some Ws, especially that many of those games were won in small margins. I can see the argument giving Eli those minutes in some lopsided losses, but tbh I doubt those experience will be helpful in a march game. TB has kept a 9 man rotation for the majority of the season and thatās almost unheard of before

True. Iirc, last night UVA had 9 guys play 10+ minutes and only 2 play 30+. Thatās kinda wild.
And good, because weāre probably replacing 3 starters next year so spreading out minutes is nice.

If UVA had simply shot 73% on FTs this season that would have been 10th in the Acc and would have netted an additional 43 points on the season and we are probably an 8 seed.

Believe it or not, the 2014 team shot 67%. But they just blew teams out, so it usually didnāt matter, but maybe it did vs. VCU and Michigan State. I donāt recall it being much of an issue.

Yeah, 64% his senior year. Best was 77%
Also, Gill in the 60s before he figured out his toe point or whatever plus Akil in the 40s because of a screw sticking out of his hand

Brogdon and Perrantes were great.
Harris was 64%. Anderson 71%. Mitchell was in the 40s, Gill in the mid-60s.

It was definitely a mistake. Maybe they still hit a wild shot but at least you loosed all the arrows in your quiver to make it as hard as possible.
