I don’t think so. He may do that to UNC but I think he enjoyed not being booed before the game at JPJ.
How do? I’m turned around and don’t know who to root for anymore!
Oh, wow, I’d missed Clemson beating Wake. That’s nice.
It’s not likely but it’s definitely possible for us to end up as the 4 seed. We win out, Miami lose 2 of 3 (VT, at BC, at Syr) then that would put us in a good spot.
I feel like it would benefit us more tourney wise to have Miami win the rest of its regular season games, given that we swept them
It’s definitely a fine line. If they would lose two really close games and win one convincingly then they would probably stay in the top 75.
I believe these are all of the scenarios in which we would receive a double bye in the ACC tournament. There’s a chance I missed something (some wonky stuff can happen if Duke, ND, etc. move around in the standings — I’m basically counting on Dook to win 2/3 vs Cuse, Pitt and UNC to lock everything else in), but these are definitely our most likely options, even though they’re all pretty improbable.
Major things we should be rooting for:
- Us to win out, obviously — but if this doesn’t happen, we are all but eliminated from double bye contention
- One Wake loss (their final 2 games are Saturday at home vs. Louisville and next Wednesday at home vs. NC State)
- Two Miami losses (their final 3 games are Saturday at home vs. Virginia Tech, next Wednesday on the road at Boston College, and next Saturday on the road at Syracuse).
We played hard tonight. Good enough to win. I think our two bad stretches were the 2 AJ Griffen 3’s and the Caffaro missed layup/blocks stretch
I don’t think we need WF to lose. We just need Miami to be a part of a 3 way tie. We went 2-1 vs Miami/WF, Miami went 2-2 vs us/WF, WF went 1-2 vs us/Miami. We would win that tiebreaker.
Does Miami drop below a Quad 1 road win if they lose two of the next three? This NET stuff makes zero sense. Definitely losses matter way more than big wins. VA Tech has ZERO quad 1 wins and is still 41st… I guess maybe the saving grace is playing them in the ACC tourney and beating them to notch another Quad 1 win…?
Have we had a player to make 6 threes in one half? Probably at some point but i can’t remember right off hand. Maybe Staples or Richard Morgan. Guy?
Tomas in the 2nd half against Louisville in 2020. He had that crazy stretch of games with 6+ threes.
Kyle and Hauser both had halves with 5. I think Ty had one with 5 as well.
Depends. If they lose each game by 1 point and win by 25 then I doubt they drop at all.

I really regret bringing this topic back up, but I just saw a stat that AJ Griffin has a 49.5 3P% in conference play.
Sometimes it doesn’t matter who is guarding you.
