Kihei 3/7 (43%) on threes tonight.
Not sure if it’s a full on different set or just an adjustment to Louisville putting two on the ball on pick and roll. But it definitely worked.
I said feed him because he was consistently open in the middle of the paint. Give him the ball and let him take a quick shot like he did in the Pitt game.
I know I said feed him but I didn’t mean like let’s run our offense through him lol
Winning record in the ACC now a very realistic goal after that win!
Not saying that isn’t weird, but Shedrick didn’t get tall until pretty late. He played guard and was primarily focused on baseball for most of his youth if I remember correctly. Figuring out how to be a big man with giant limbs probably takes time too.
I also liked the dribble handoff sets that let Kihei and Reece get a head start into a pick and roll.
And they’ve scored on that baseline-out-of-bounds play how many times this season? I don’t think a TB team has ever been quite that good scoring directly on the baseline OOB set plays.
Also playing big in our system is a VERY tall order. It took Huff 4 years to learn it well enough to play regular minutes. Cedric is basically 1.5 years into his career and was already raw coming in and he leads the ACC in blocks. I’d say he’s already ahead of schedule
They beat nc state by 14 this year so they’re probably too good for him
Shedrick is way ahead of Mamadi on D right now. I think everyone forgets how bad Mamadi would get killed off of hard hedges. Kadin still has a long ways to go on D but he is definitely ahead of where Mamadi was at this point
Makes sense and explains his awkwardness. He moves like a kid eho just had a growth spurt. But doesn’t explain the lack of understanding of where to be and positioning
Like i said he’s Mamadi in 17/18 when he was a spark plug off the bench blocking shots etc but still a liability so he played like 10 min a game. That’s where Kadin is now but he’s forced to play mamadi in 19/20 mins.
I need @DFresh11 to get Williford to hit up Kaleb Glenn with a “yo what you up to” or a “you see Jayden Gardner hit those jumpers?” text. Just for me #flipthatman

Plus the obligatory Hollinger reply
We were elite in the London-Brogdon era. Best in the country level good.
Man Cory knows. The Natty guys are another category. No need for them to be on Rushmore they have rings
You said a lot there fresh.
A lot.
Next level shit
Edit: They did it for all of us
You could definitely see a concerted effort defensively early in the game. The you could see Louisville get a few clean looks and few tough finishes in that stretch at the end of the first half and all of a sudden we lost our defensive swagger.
Also, I didn’t keep track of the score when both Kadin and Papi were in, but I don’t think they did too bad. Kadin was even guarding Cross!
