I saw 0 for 1 from him. Moved well off the ball though hahahha

I think Tony cares more about the off ball movement than whether the practice three went in or not.

200%. Tony loves an open look (because he made half of those looks from 3 in his career). Open look means less to Rohde.

Not really sure what the path to not getting murdered in this game looks like. Minor is going to have two fouls by the 13 minute mark if we’re lucky

There’s that pregame positivity we know and love lol

We need very good games from 1 or both of bigs. Ideally Minor. That includes staying out of foul trouble.

If we get that then I think we got a decent shot. If not then I can’t see us pulling it out.

Based on the VT game, this one will be over before half. Based on our history in the JPJ vs. UNC with Tony … this will be a war and a close win. Every outcome between those two is possible. Blowout of UNC is not on the table IMO.

If this was Roy Williams I’d strongly agree but Hubert has largely kicked his ass

Edit: I take this back I forgot how many times we played them last year

TB is 2-3 against Hubert.

I think the path starts with mucking up their transition game. It’s a big source of their offense, they have a pretty decent drop off between their ability to score in transition vs half court. After that, it’s limiting their second chances. They aren’t a great first shot team, especially in the half court.

I mean yeah that’s half of it but how do we score lol

Dunno. But they are only one game removed from getting lit up at Syracuse by an offense that’s better than ours over the course of the season but not by a huge amount (and close to equal in conference games). Mintz and Starling got whatever they wanted inside the arc.

If we hold them to zero points, I like our chances.

BC Mintz and Starling were aggressive. Who else besides Reece is going to be aggressive and not retreat dribble all day? My worry is Ingram, he is the X factor from 3 and on the Off Boards. I worry Dunn drops down to double Bacot and leaves him for 3 or as a team we are so focused to block out Bacot he gets a lot of offensive boards

Afterwards? I know Tony likes for former players to work out with the team. Didn’t you drop a couple off of Beeks?

Line is only 2.5. Go Hoos.

Tony was probably afraid Fresh would fall and break a hip

AND stay in Tony’s good graces? Seems impossible

His revealed preference is for Milford Men on offense: better to be neither seen nor heard
