I think we’re going to have a good sense of where this is heading in the first four minutes
Also weirdly don’t feel like we lose a close game. We either win a close game or they blow us out. Doubt it’s anything in between
I feel the same way
I’d be surprised if we came out flat. Beyond that, nothing would surprise me
I doubt it. We will score one bucket. They will score 2 or 3. The second 4 minutes will tell the tale.
Sent my buddy this and he asked if “DFresh11” is Doug Smith. I told him it is indeed, so he responded with this picture he has in his UVA man cave
for the game and below 94 adjD (our current total adjD for the season).
So in our 12 toughest games, we’ve played a total of 1 complete game, our second game of the year.
Feels like we’ll need a good effort on both sides of the ball to have a chance, but looking at history, that seems unlikely.
Need to find opportunities for the bigs including Ryan Dunn.
Hey that’s my favorite announcer!
Me too and he’s hanging out with Cory.
And even that game kinda has an asterisk on it Since Florida didn’t have their starting point guard who has been just as important to them as Beekman is to us.
He is averaging 15.6 points 5 assists 4 rebounds and only 1.2 turnovers.
I mean the path to victory is pretty clear imo:
-
fast start. Need to get up at least 5 by the under 12 of the first half
-
Minor is able to play 25+ minutes. Stay out of foul trouble and Tony doesn’t get suckered into playing too much Blake, who will get abused on the glass by Carolina’s front court
-
aggressive Reece game. RJ and Cadeau should not be able to guard him
-
Hit 3’s. Probably need at least 8 to win
-
Big
game from our two stud defenders
Think all of those are realistic. But it’s a narrow path. And I have a hard time seeing a win without at least 4 of the 5
Team- join us at the half and for postgame today against Carolina. Pre-game will not happen due to travel delays and youth basketball tournament schedule changes. Apologies and we look forward to seeing you at the half.
Fresh is in Cville
I’m in stopped traffic in FL coming back from a volleyball practice.
Mark has a game at 3:30.
We will be ready to roll at the half.
Let’s go Hoos!
Need this game like the crops need rain.
