I love Sam sheās a great person, but the injuries have absolutely robbed her of a career. A redshirt and another year of age, doesnāt bring much upside for her or the program. Outside of being a solid veteran presence I donāt think she has much on the court she can offer and would likely be taking away mins from someone who needs to be developed. Mir is a tricky I donāt think she has pro prospects mainly because like you said, thereās so few spots available even with a new club on the way. But I donāt think sitting a year does enough to boost her stock or have a major impact on the teams future prospects.
Yeah. It sucks, because Sam with knees could be all-ACC. But I kinda wish sheād retire and go into broadcasting or whatever because she literally doesnāt have knees anymore. And it just kills me to see someone in their early 20s be in such obvious pain every time she runs.
Iām always shocked when I watch her play and have to remind myself sheās only 23. The knees ankles back all of Samās movements look labored and seeing the frenetic pace that Coach Mox like to use, itās hard to see Sam being able to keep up and be effective.
Sheās playing it pretty smart though. With her show and everything, sheās putting together a great body of work to get some sort of shot at a media gig after she does hang it up. And Iām assuming sheās on track to graduate (or did she already?). With a degree and her portfolio, sheāll have as good a shot as anyone.
Sheāll graduate with a Masters she finished undergrad before she left ND. At this rate she may ne a few hrs short of her PhD
Just got tickets for when the Hoos come to Mcammish.
Looks like McGheeās knee is looking fine #beatLSU (yeah Im manifesting it)
So McGhee active? And I guess Kymora and Yonta is an either/or situation?
17-2 on steals, 10-24 from three
If we can stay healthy and get McLean back as a solid contributor, I feel like this could be a tourney team. Plenty of talent in the rotation and Mox seems to be high on our defense going into this season.
Iām also glad Valladay is not the point guard anymoreā¦ I would get so frustrated with her dribbling the ball down not looking to pass at all and hoisting a shot 2 or 3 steps inside the 3-point line and missing 10 times a game.
Very much addition by subtraction. I get Mox wants to run the ball but every womens game I watched I would become so frustrated with Valladayās eraticness and lack of vision for a point guard. Mo is definitely an upgrade at the 1 spot day 1.
