Already seeing two of the main issues VCU has had to deal with this season rear their head: Streaky perimeter shooting and a propensity to be foul prone.

VCU moves the ball well and are one of the top assist rates. But they also lack a true pg creator. Or at least a high level one. Which makes their domination of the A10 more impressive.
Bamgboye has a high ceiling. But Dont think we should approach the portal with thinking he’s a bonafide starter for us.

This is what I’ve been saying about VCU for most of the year. Odom’s offense consistently generates WIDE OPEN shots from the perimeter, the issue is that VCU’s shooting is insanely streaky.
Replace Bamisile and Jackson with guys who are a little more consistent from range and this offense would be lethal.

VCU and Odoms system produces a lot of 3 point attempts tho (over half their shot attempts are from 3). Not trying to argue that this is a great 3 point shooting team bc they aren’t, but with how many 3s they take inevitably they’re gonna come across as streaky at times.
