absolutely massive play by chance to find the open man after using almost the full shot clock. that play probably took uva from 80% to win to 95%

It hasn’t always been pretty, but we played 6 of our first 9 ACC games on the road and are going to end up 7-2. I’ll take it.

Feels like he should be able to draw a lane violation at least once, though it seems like his own team isn’t totally ready for it either.

We need another guard who can break his man down off the dribble. We look better with Chance because he’s the only player who can consistently do this and is a solid threat to either score or make a good high IQ pass.
Malik is good at taking his man but he is almost no threat to pass, he’s going to force something to the rim. Hall is the exact opposite, he’s almost exclusively a threat to pass unless he gets wide open to the basket. Both easy to plan for, chance is the one who puts pressure on the defense.
We could also use an athleticism boost. I think that has a lot to do with our fast break struggles. Of course these are all offseason issues. I’ll enjoy watching @Hooandtrue cook up the solutions in the portal and recruiting threads.

It’s so weird that BC had just about no one in the 2 rows right behind their bench, while our team’s section was full. It’s a home game, were their families like “nah, I’m good, we’re gonna go to the movies today”?
