-1 not super encouraging but makes sense given the 2nd half performance last week. Coastal is not the Coastal team that went undefeated or whatever a few years back. They’ve feasted on Jax St. W&M and Temple so far and have given up 20 or more in each game. The defense is suspect at best and they haven’t even been tested yet.

They have a good ground game and scheme designed by Tim Beck their HC who was the OC at NC State, Texas, Ohio State, and Nebraska before landing at Coastal. Lots of designed QB runs, their guy Ethan Vasko is a good athlete with some speed but hasn’t shown much as a passer this year.

Don’t give up big chunks on run plays and make their QB beat you with his arm.

Coastal is really bad honestly. Their QB play is abysmal and they didn’t come close to covering against an atrocious Temple team last weekend.

But we aren’t good and it’s on the road so the line makes sense imo

Exactly. The bottom is waiting to fall out on Coastal. If the Hoos can string together 4 quarters and not shoot themselves in their foot they’ll be fine.

I think a lot of people hear Coastal and thinknof them running the spread option and racking up points in 2021 but that was a lifetime ago.

Maybe midway through the third once it’s 49-10…. AC needs all the reps he can get at this point. Can’t create a “controversy” once you’ve already elected to go with the young inexperienced guy. Just remember it’ll pay dividends down the road, hopefully…

I agree don’t think it’s the right move. I think AC and CTE will forever be linked.

But i would understand the argument that the team needs to win and going with a steady hand is the best way to do that.

I do feel like this is make or break for AC has to play clean

Gotta guess it ain’t easy for Muskett to ride the bench as a fifth year/in his final year of eligibility and watch AC run zig zags trying not to get sacked, throwing picks and getting stripped, and overthrowing passes by 10 yards

@BDragon CTE and AC are linked to each other. If AC performs well the rest of the year and we end up with 2 or 3 extra wins then CTE will be back. If he doesn’t then CTE will likely be gone .

I think Elliott gets another year unless we finish 1-8 or worse. Doubt he’d make it past year 4 without a bowl though.
