JMU scored 53 points in the first frigging half…

Yesterday was fun. Let’s cover a 3 point spread by 20 points more often.

Only thing I’m annoyed with now is our schedule. Wish it had set up better for 6 wins like so many other ACC programs, but we can still get there. Going to need to steal a couple though.

Not saying ND is winnable, but if they drop a couple more before our game then they might be unmotivated for that one. Pitt and BC being as good as they are is unfortunate

UNC, Try to steal 1-2 from Pitt BC ND, or maybe beat the hokies in Lane Stadium?

We’re absolutely going into Thanksgiving with both UVA and VT at 5-6, sadly we’ve seen how that one ends before.

UNC is beatable and seems to be in a free fall/we have their number.

Need to beat one of Pitt or BC

Steal one @ND or @Hokies

We’ll help VT forget they had a disaster of a season given expectations and then their fans will get optimistic and obnoxious again for the offseason. Rinse repeat

I think one thing to consider when discussing CTE, does his staff make adjustments at halftime?
Some are subtle but others are glaringly obvious.
He can not afford another half like we had against Maryland. The clearly made halftime adjustments, stopped making mistakes, but they blocked differently and outnumbered us on almost every occasion on running plays, we made zero adjustments. We should have put that game on ice in the first half but we failed. Yesterday was great because it was a much needed road win, but ccu is awful this year.

I’ve got UNC down as a W, I think we also beat SMU… if Elliott can steal a W @ ND talk about a momentum shift. Idc how they are this year, winning that game inspires confidence in players program and fans alike.

I don’t understand the ND talk. Don’t let the NIU game fool you. Thats a team with a solid defense and a developing offense. They are also on high alert after the NIU game.

Could the Hoos win in South Bend? Sure but it comes down to who do you trust more Leornard or AC? And at this point of the season the Hoos best offensive performance came when AC attempted 20 passes…

Helped having Robinson back — he missed Maryland.

Coastal was averaging about 250 yards a game on the ground through their first three games. Yesterday they were 24-82.

I’m okay with an overall philosophy of committing to stopping the run and collapsing the pocket, understanding that yeah that comes with some big pass plays as a trade-off with mediocre CBs in single coverage. It won’t win you every game, but it’ll win you some, especially if you have an offense that can do its part.

I’m okay with that as well.

Just play to the matchups. The Hoos wont play a ton of teams that can take tbe top off a D and if the DBs up their physical game that’ll go a long way

I was visiting my son in college yesterday, so I didn’t get to see the game at all, and only listened to part of the second quarter on radio. So, my question: Were we as dominant as the score indicates? Were we really good, or was Coastal bad? Should I be excited about the rest of the season, or am I just going to be disappointed?

Hoos were very good and effective especially on offense. Ran the ball like it was 1998.

Will that translate in conference? Maybe, certainly to a lesser degree.
