The reason it’s hard to shoot in Cameron is because it’s against the talent of Duke - not because of the gym… I’ve shot there multiple times - obviously not in a packed gym - but the shooting background is immaculate…. Loved it.

Grünloh mentioned on the post game show last night that he has played in small hostile gyms before. John Freeman asked him the toughest atmosphere he had scene and he mentioned a U18 game in Serbia. The European guys may not may not shine, but if not it won’t be because of Cameron.

Trying to figure out how we’d match up against Duke and mostly I just feel vindicated in my “poor man’s RD” take on Maliq Brown.
He’s a non entity offensively.
What that means for us? Makes it a lot easier to double Boozer. Brown feels like a great matchup (for them) on TDR, but might make it harder for them offensively?
Just spitballing. I mean they’re a great team so obviously they’re working around it…

Yep. Also vindicated is the “Maliq Brown is a 5, not a 4” take, which was a subject of some disagreement during his portal recruitment. He’s played a little more with Ngongba than he did last season (played 0 possessions with Maluach last season) but that combo is clearly Duke’s worst frontcourt pairing out of their rotation players: Hoop Explorer link

Also funny to think over a year and half ago Silas Barksdale outplayed Boozer in their aau matchup and now Boozer is the best player in College basketball and Barksdale is redshirting.
We are definitely good enough to beat Duke, especially if we treat them like any other team we’ve played instead of psyching ourselves out. Florida St and Miami were good games to get practice against physicality and switching Ds

I like our team. A lot. But I don’t think we are a Final Four team this year. We’re not in that tier yet. Of course we could go off one game and beat a final four team, but March madness isn’t about beating one team. I love our squad this year, especially after the disaster that was last year. (Ron-It-Back Truthers should be ashamed), but I respectfully disagree that we are a final four team. I hope I’m wrong!
Let’s win an NCAA tournament game first! Hasn’t happened in a while!

It’s the best shooting gym in the ACC because it is a gym. Not an arena. Not a dome. Not a coliseum (ok I made that up).
It’s a great place to shoot. The best actually.
