This is a classic leave your mark game

Wouldn’t be surprised if FSU let their nails go for this game…be interested to see how scratched up our perimeter guys get in this one…LOL

It’s a night game so the FSU players will be out partying all night and look lethargic tomorrow night…
(hopeful thinking). Im sure Leonard will have his ā€œmenā€ patrolling.

We open favored by 1.5. Surprised?

Little bit. FSU does have a winning league record and has played to single-digit margins in their respectable losses to UNC (x2) and Clemson. Louisville was their only real ACC stinker. Figured in their gym they might be the favorite, but winning at Clemson and demolishing Miami has us getting more respect now.

I have watched every team in the ACC on multiple occasions, except FSU. I only know their guys are tall, but not strong…kind of lanky? Also, I understand they play 10 or 11 guys, as is typical of Hamilon’s teams?

If anyone wants to share what our strategy will likely be to counter their size that would be great. Also, they press, right? So more of Reece and Dante together?

This is a good game to steal on the road with the next two at home.

Yep. Lines usually mirror KP very closely. He has us as a 1 pt dog

Saw this on 247

Most of their roster this is their first time every playing Virginia. Need to lockdown Jamir Watkins and Darin Green Jr. Reece and Dunn? Jumbo line up?

Woah fun facts:

UVA is 28-28 against FSU. FSU has outscored us in those games 3,701‐3,700. LOL about as dead even as it gets historically headed into this game that is a pick em essentially.

FSU/UVA. It ALWAYS delivers.

The swamp road?

Yep, don’t waste Reece on warley. We should guard warley like Duke guarded cadeau.

But this is a very different team than those teams that challenged us in the past, no? Or is the point just that the teams are similar in their physical makeup and style?

Interesting (or not) stat from our recent run…

during the winning streak, the starting lineup with Rohde
VT - down 9-6 @ 14:20
GT - down 11-5 @ 15:18
NCST - down 6-3 @ 14:20
LOU - up 11-0 @ 14:20
ND - tied 5-5 @ 14:00
CLEM - down 8-5 @ 16:02
MIA - down 7-2 @ 13:50

Wonder if we change 3rd guard spot to try and get going early.

Personally I’d go Beekman, McKneely, Dunn, Groves, Minor to counter FSU’s size

I think we were up in the VT, Clemson, and ND games by the time he subbed out, which was a little after those timestamps in those games. But I generally agree.

That is interesting, and not surprising, really. I would like to see a change, but don’t think that will happen.

Is there an argument for starting Buchanan for quickness? Their bigs are long, but more lean and agile, rather than strong (maybe except Gainey).

Got an uneasy feeling about tonight. It’s that ā€œwe’re due for an Lā€ feeling which has no basis in reality but just comes from the gut.

We either keep the win streak going or someone with a pfp of Tony leaving a burning building makes a long awaited reappearance

Being on the bubble isn’t as fun as I was told lol
