Well, at least we didn’t have to watch TJ Power for the first 39 minutes!

Can we talk a little bit about how Dai Dai is no bueno? He misses lots of open passes, turns the ball over with bad decision-making and poor court vision, and generally can’t stay in front of his man on D. I was hoping for more development from him throughout the season but I think he’s reached his max potential…

Right now Sharma is our best guard. Then Rohde, slightly over DD, then Murray then Mckneely.
Atleast Murray plays w heart.
Mckneely is so off and the staff has zero idea what to do with him.

I like how all 4 bigs are playing. Saunders needs to play SF some w Cofie and buchanan or Robinson. Hell, even Robinson and BB had a nice run together today

Bball is all about guard play and ours are not good at all.

Starting lineup should be DD, Sharma, Saunders, Codie and BB

I think I’d rather see Rohde out there than DD honestly. Better passer, better shooter (!!!), better defense. There, I said it.

Rohde for all his limitations and flaws bust his f*cking ass for his team. As someone who clearly couldn’t do even a fraction of what he’s capable of, I respect it. Can see why our former player friends get frustrated watching him though. Just a different world haha

For just a quick look at the basic individual stats - points, rebounds, assists and minutes, I just pull it up on Google. They have Team stats there too. I’m on an android phone so this take like two clicks.

For more in depth stats I find the game on espn.com and check there.

I’m sure the other suggestions and places are just as good or better, the above are just the ways I’ve been checking for a bunch of years now.

You should go to church tomorrow and then confession. If we continue to play Rohde 30 mins we will win three or four games in the ACC this year.

I have lots of thoughts on this, but if Rohde continues to play for 30 minutes a game , we’re not going to win more than 4 games in the ACC. And everyone will transfer on our roster

.And Ron will be fired. And the only person that stays at UVA is is Rohde - because he knows he wouldn’t play these minutes anywhere else.

We will continue to lose if Rohde plays this many minutes. It’s not all on him, but opposing coaches don’t worry about Andrew Rohde playing 30 minutes. Fire up anyone else. 5 points and a million retreat dribbles isnt cutting it.

Keep Robinson, Sharma, Gertrude, Power, and Dai Dai. And I like Buck too but it’s a hard one for me.

Huh?

Yup. He’s 6’9 and can play. In my opinion, just because he doesn’t fit into our model T Ford offense doesn’t mean he’s not good.

I think he is someone we could utilize better than what we are doing. But he’s not going to fit into the Blocker/Mover, or the flow, or the fake triangle that we run. And he won’t fit into the pack line defense either.

He’s a big guy that is skilled. Most programs would utilize that. Especially when you really stink like we do right now.

He could be a problem if we play the right way for the modern times. Again, it’s just my opinion.

This would happen if Rohde played no minutes

Going to happen anyways

Going to happen anyways

Opposing coaches arent worried about anyone on this team. No one can create for themselves consistently against athletic players

Power is literally the worst per dollar investment in uva basketball history. Think thats your inner boston speaking.

There is nothing that can make this season remotely worthwhile outside a legitimate pg manifesting out of thin air or us pulling the fluke win vs a top 5 Duke team a la 2013 and 2022 NIT seasons

Maybe so. I respect all of your opinions. But he is also playing for Ron Sanchez who might be the worst coach in ACC history.

Guys who go down a level or two and then still under-perform shouldn’t be given head coaching jobs in the ACC. If you were bad at Charlotte, you shouldn’t be coaching Virginia.

If we had a free flowing and fast and modern offense, Power would be a piece in my opinion. I could be wrong.

But I appreciate you breaking down everything I said. I could do the same, but I will hold off.

Bottom line is whatever we are doing now is atrocious. You know it and I know it.

Not coming here Unless Carla uses her 29% raise and another 10 million from UVA….

I see why we wanted him as support guy. He is not built to be a main guy at P4. If we are relying on him, like Rohde, to be difference makers then that is our mistake.

Maybe he’s taking his anger out on Rohde since the Celtics lost tonight to De’Andre Hunter and the Hawks. Running a three on one fast break that will be on the next episode of Shaqtin

This is a very controversial take…

  1. Why are you such a Rohde hater? That’s so last year. This year’s Rohde is our best player. He out-hustles everyone and has vastly improved his shooting and backwards dribbling skills.

  2. Agree that Ron is not ACC coaching material; he only got the job cus Tony bounced right before the season. But I don’t think anyone believes he has a chance of being here next year. Do you? He’s probably already got his suitcases packed.

  3. You don’t want to keep Cofie?? What’s up with that - he’s the highest ceiling, second-most athletic guy on the roster behind pre-scooter Gertrude.

  4. You may be right about Power…but life is too short to find out. He’s the definition of a dud. Let him go play for BC’s next coach. My least favorite basketball player of all time…doesn’t help knowing he’s the highest paid guy on the team.

But other than that I agree with everything you said.
