I think it was his 4th foul but yeah I would play Sharma starter minutes moving forward.

Yup. It’s different levels.

I don’t understand the substitution decisions. They just seem so random. Like, ā€œoh, this guy’s on the bench and he’s been there awhile. Let’s put him in even though the guy on the court he’s subbing for is making shots.ā€

Yea with 4 minutes left. Cant save em at that point

My biggest gripe on our program for few years j
Is WHY are we always practiving things under stringent rules when there is a game going on that our oppenent is playing to fing win!

BINGO, what do you expect from players when the coach quits 3 weeks before the season? Why would you think the team would play with effort and intensity, do what Tony did, cash the check and start looking for the next gig

Ron’s inability to break from ā€œtraditionā€ and find ways to experiment (with everything) in blowout losses is why he can’t be our coach next year in my opinion.

He appears to be a one trick pony and we have already seen and ridden that pony. It was great ride for a long while, but that pony died on the trail last March.

I hope this loss free’s Ron up to reevaluate everything and find a new pony, or at least some innovation.

Transfer. Or play hard since you’re making six figures.

It’s a tough situation to be sure. But it cuts both ways now that players get paid and had a 30 day window to transfer. Warley took them up on it.

Didn’t see a minute of it due to a conflict but I gather Ron decided to run the same game plan that has been producing a string of losses. He must be trying to convince his next employer to think of him as an assistant only.

To do what Tony did, you would have to officially step away and not draw an income anymore. Which is an option! But if you’re going to keep taking the money, you should try to do what you’re being paid for.

That said, I can totally understand why their hearts might not be in it.

Rohde lead the team in mins. Cant make this shit up.

Hard disagree.

That boy with the ball in his hands is almost a bad play waiting to happen.

Would be same if Tony was coaching.

I’ve read a lot of the comments about (insert player name) playing too many minutes for us.

Guys, have we considered only putting four guys on the court?

Watch next year…we’ll see. What you’re seeing now is a guy who’s been prepped for the role he’s in…in a different one, very different situation. I could be wrong, maybe he won’t do well, but I’m sure if he were anywhere else he’d be given that opportunity by now.

If you want to understand why UVA has always had a hard time recruiting players up the ladder a bit, that’s it. We have role players because we train role players. For better and worse. Recruits are scared of being boxed in.

Whats best llace to get/ see box score? Can we assign designated post game box score poster to someone on LRA?

Just don’t see I Mac with the ball handling ability to do much when he does have the ball. For a kid with his build he lacks explosiveness, fluidity and body control/ ability to overpower his defender. Don’t know if he adds anything more with the ball in his hands. Would rather see the time and game plan for Sharma- kid looks the part.

Brad Franklin usually posts them on Twitter. He didn’t today but Jacquie did.

My man can’t handle under pressure and he finishes like a 6th grader but ok.

He can shoot.
