Been banging that drum all season. AC just isnt a quality QB cant read the defense plays too emotional and on instinct instead of skill and technique. When the margin for error is so thin a team cannot afford to have a QB who is going to make 3-5 very bad plays every game

He should be able to bail and throw it away by now. Also stop locking in on his target to tip off the secondary.

Thats been my issue with him most of this season he plays like a first year and at this point he’s had nearly 2 yrs under his belt and still makes the same fundamental breakdowns.

Remember when folks were worried he would portal?

Ad I said at the end of last season theres a short line for 5"10 qbs with avg arm strength who basically have a 50/50 TD to TO ratio.

It may be the scheming and poor play calling exacerbating the bad, sure. But AC is garbage.

You can’t have a QB who either can’t or refuses to read the field, at least in the sense that he’s not locked onto one guy every single play. I’ve tried to have patience but I’m done with it. We’re getting all the bad and NONE of the good. Muskett the rest of the season please.

TE waited one quarter too long to pull the plug today. When it was 21-0 and the 2nd or 3rd pick happened it was time. Likely the game outcome doesn’t change but AC took us out of the game completely.

I was at one time a big AC fan mainly because of his attitude and fearless play but he has really pushed my buttons. He absolutely don’t see the field at all. He locks in on a receiver and he’s going to throw that ball to him . I don’t believe he even sees the defender draped all over him. That’s not to mention the other things he does. He runs out of bounds rather that throwing it away costing us yardage. Today did it. I’m riding the Muskett train now . He’s not as exciting but he don’t drive me crazy. My rant is over. Its college basketball season. Football is done except for the playoffs.

At the game today … biggest disappointment was AC followed closely by Tyree. AC issues are obvious. Tyree got all sorts of chances but he didn’t seem to have his head or heart in it. Defense tried, hung tough. We had a mismatch with Malachi and didn’t exploit it really. Sit AC, play Muskett from here.

Our game with VT in Blacksburg is going to be the game that decides bowl eligibility for both teams, isn’t it?

Remember when you knew the teams in your conference and you knew the good players on each team in your conference? Yeah, me neither….

I have a weird feeling that we shock SMU next weekend.

Need to know about the guys who left the game yesterday, but if healthy I like the Hoos to spring the upset.

Inpossible for me having watch the first half yesterday to think the Hoos could ever win in football

Sure it was ND. But NIU beat ND

That NIU loss is exactly why ND has been going to the pay window ever since. May as well happened 4yrs ago with how they’ve bounced back especially defensively.

That was by far (statistically and in Dragon’s humble opinion) the best defense the Hoos faced all year.

They also got 0 help from their QB

Not to bury AC but here are his stats this season

2,017 yrds on 62.1% completions 12 TDs 11Ints 43 QBR

73 carries for 235yrds 0 tds 3.1 ypc

The qbr is good for 106th in the nation.

Frankly looking at that it’s a minor miracle they got to 5 wins so far. Thats consistently dreadful play

And that doesn’t include plays where he runs out of bounds behind the LOS which goes down as a sack instead.

The big disappointment with AC for me is that he just doesn’t seem to have the same wiggle/explosiveness/whatever that he had last year. There have been numerous times he’s gotten into space and…he just gets tripped up from behind or tackled 1 on 1. That, combined with a decrease in long completions, make the INTs harder to swallow.
